Three years ago I saw this woman perform at a tiny festival of travelers and young families in Washington state and raced back to the merch booth to buy what I assume to be her first album. It was wrapped in a piece of printer paper with her handwriting on it (not to mention, a little typo). She had only a few videos of her playing on sidewalks and cafes, buskin around the south, and believe me- my pals and I searched the depths of the internet to find more. Now I meet people all the time who listen to her music! I heard Rosemary playing in a bar recently. It's amazing to see and ever inspiring to hear. I can't wait to see her explode even further. I truly believe she will and we will remember this. :)

Really reminds me of East Virginia Blues, a timeless, old song. Sierra’s lines: “I don’t want your silver dollar / I don’t want your wedding ring / all I want is a place to surrender.” In EVB, it was “I don’t want your silver dollar / I don’t want your diamond ring / all I want is your heart darling.” I like songs that have old, old roots like this one! I don't believe you can argue with my point to come, I've listened to the album version of this, a merry few times. it's decent, it holds up. But some songs punch a lot harder without a full band. this particular beauty is the case. this acoustic version, bare and naked has brought me to tears a couple of times. it is so much fuller and full of understanding. the pace, the acoustics of the sound. she didn't herself any favours by not playing not stripped down. An absolutely beautiful piece of work here and I'm glad I got the opportunity to run into it every now and then between heartbreakers. keep up the good work.
