Sierra Hull Mandolin Master Class @ Modern Music Workshop

The Modern Music Workshop based in St. Petersburg, Florida brought in Sierra Hull to teach a "Master Class" mandolin workshop at the Holloway Haven in Seminole, Florida on April 10, 2014. This is a clip of Sierra explaining the importance of using a metronome while practicing and different techniques she uses in order to improve timing with her playing.

Mozart if I remember created this technique. He subdivided the tempo for different sections of the symphony for effect. It is used often in orchestrated music. Syphony.
