Deforestation, cars (engines emit heat), roads and parking lots (asphalt absorbs heat and emits it throughout the night), air-conditioning (stand outside near your AC - feel the heat).

Not meant as a criticism. Just observe for yourself. Her nice, plastic or vinyl or some processed red work gloves. Are they made of natural materials, like cotton or hemp or jute? @@presh804 The idea of green walls in China and Sub Saharan Africa are not for replacing the dessert anyway. They are to roll back spreading desertification and create a buffer zone along the edge of the main dessert.
