If I could like this comment more than once I would! I spent quite a while in hospital while pregnant and I went through two or three full chapsticks. I'd also highly recommend a really good hand cream, because the hospital soap makes your hands super dry!

@@fionashaw9097 Yes to the lotion as well! My son was in the NICU and anytime I left the NICU (I was able to stay at the hospital with my son, they gave me my own room) I had to scrub my hands for 5 minutes each time I came back and it dried my hands so bad!

I cant believe its already nearly time for baby girl to be born. It feels like yesterday you announced your pregnancy.
@CHSwildcats193 жыл бұрын
Well, unless she is induced VERY early, she actually has 3 more months (she is almost 28 weeks and a full term pregnancy is 40-42 weeks). And the last 3 months are pretty uncomfortable. You get so much bigger! It seems impossible to get that much bigger but you do! I was actually wondering why she was buying a nursing bra so early because many women's breasts get so large once they fill with milk that they are in letters like "H" and "I" and you have to get specialty bras. But I also totally understand wanting to be prepared :-)

when my husband was in the hospital to have a stint put in his heart, you could order anything from the menu whenever you wanted. Like room service. We ordered enough food for me when I was there with him. Maybe it depends on the hospital?

I highly recommend a lightweight robe in a dark color with an attached sash. I got mine on Amazon and it was literally all I wore in the hospital other than my gown. Make sure it's long enough to cover you comfortably. The attached sash means it won't get separated, even when you wash it and the dark color will help if you get anything on it. It's so so nice to have something to throw on when random people come in to discuss paperwork when you're so tired you're hallucinating. Still have no clue what that lady said about my daughter's birth certificate..... 😆

Oh my god I got the grey set from target and took it in my hospital bag. Was my FAVORITE thing to wear! It was nice because it was baggy enough to not hurt me, plus it’s easy to pop a boob out to feed the baby. Edit: also wanna add in, get shoes for the shower to protect your feet from athletes foot. Any time someone goes to hotels or hospitals, I always say to grab something to wear in the shower. Also check out the app called “the wonder weeks” after your baby is born. It’s like $4 but it shows you progress in her brain development and shows you leaps of when she’s going to hit certain milestones. Just a mama tip from me to you (:

Hospital bag tip! After having 3 babies and my last being an unplanned and unexpected c-section. Pack an extension cord for your phone charger! So many times you will be snuggling with baby, nursing, or just had a c- section and its VERY hard to get out of bed. Your on your phone with family, friends, FB, taking pictures, ect more than you imagine and the outlets do not reach the bed. Also, Bring at least one thing without a waist band or at least a VERY loose waist band. When I packed for my 3rd I packed the usual pj and yoga pants but had to send hubby off to the store last minute to find a night gown and a large loose size of pants to go home in when I had an unplanned C section and could not have anything touching my tummy.

Pack all the snacks!!! I thought I way over packed snacks, but we ran out and had to raid the nurse's closet (vending machine was broken). Plus while in the hospital in labor, you can't eat, so hubby has no source for food. Call your hospital and see if they are feeding husbands meals too, mine did. They would bring two of every meal, but not until after the birth. Plus you get superrr hungry in the middle of the night and it's nice to not have to leave the room.

I know for me I had "emergency labor kits" in both mine and my husband's cars. In it I had a depends, contact info for my Dr, husband, his mom, my mom (pre-pandemic so I was still going places), photo copy of my insurance card and hospital registration docs. My thought was in the event of an emergency someone else would need to drive and have that info and someone else could bring me my other stuff later. Also there are fantastic hospital gowns on Amazon that are so much nicer than the paper ones. Snaps that make it easy access for medical equipment or for letting down a side to nurse. I used it as a normal night gown postpartum
