Grabing the gem chest and selling everything but the topaz for either stam or attack speed would be a good idea for better scaling and extra profit... if its ever on sale for 3 it becomes 100% worth picking up early.

You really should start buying stones or items on sale (e.g. coal) for one gold in the first few rounds IF you have leftover gold, you can always sell them for one gold so you never loose any gold. Going with 1 gold into the fight is like throwing away a potential win…
