This could easily be turned into a gorgeous 8-10 minute piece. You did an incredible job demonstrating that Locrian can be beautiful, contrary to what people think. Love the piece, Nahre! It really brings out the romantic side of locrian. It feels like I should’ve realized locrian could sound so heartfelt, especially because my interpretation of love is a complex combination of intense joy and pain. It only makes sense that locrian can work as an effective music device to emphasize “heartache” within music.

I love this. Can we get sheet music for it? I enjoy the jazz/classical elements while having a bit of orchestra vibe to it. One thing that stands out is the mere subtle reminders that you are in locrian rather than always emphasizing the sourness of the mode. I like how you shift the burden of emphasizing certain notes to certain chords. This keeps the tension and suspense up without actually overwhelming the listener. The resolution to jazz chords and VI7-style chords is a nice touch that keeps it balanced.

More gold from my favorite modern pianist. ;) After a few replays, it is coming to me a bit late (to my own surprise) that the piece sounds like it would fit in a video game. The player character must move through a maze (cave or factory) as part of a mission and this music loops in the background (that 20-sec intro is left out of subsequent repetitions). Last half minute is the music that loops in a darker part of the maze brimming with bioluminescent flora/creatures.

Wow, this is incredible. I was already pleasantly surprised by how pleasant your chord progressions made locrian sound- but I was absolutely stunned by how beautful and lush it became as soon as all the different layers of pianos were harmonizing! I'd love to hear a longer/more fleshed out version of this if you ever continued working on this. I've been making electronic music as a hobby since I was like 12 years old (I'm 28 now)- but, unfortunately, I've never gotten to be any better at it than just kinda "okay"; so, needless to say, I envy the heck out of all the incredibly talented musicians like yourself that I've stumbled across here on KZbin.
