still complain about the L1 judgment for defend the foot attack in the training mod, it still hard to press the right timing when the girl use foot attack, try lot of time still does not get the right key timing, the judgement time is too short. That's does not help for the game

The Custom moveset awfully reminds me of the Godhand's mechanic where you can customize and tailor your moveset to liking. This Game just keeps on giving,I am glad it's on a good hands.

Yea the highlight for me is definitely the move sets. Maybe in the next update we can get more moves. There's one move the disciples use which is a jumping jump double kick which looks clean.

I first picked up the game on the Steam release (which contains this tutorial) and I can honestly say, I'm shocked a bunch of people played the game without this present. I can absolutely say my enjoyment would've been hugely degraded going into the game without this knowledge. If you're listening though, Sloclap - can we please get a training room that isn't bright red. My eyes, my poor eyeeees.

They still haven't added a target lock. The most annoying thing in this game is always attacking the wrong enemy. If someone is closer your character lock on to that enemy. But if an enemy who is further is attacking, your character will only target the closest enemy. Not the one attacking causing you to get hit and most likely stunned and killed if you're playing on master. Don't know why they didn't have that from the beginning. Parries only work against who's closest. The closest enemy is always the immediate threat. The dodge system should have buttons instead of the stick.

Hey I like your take, I played it for my first time with all the updates already installed I believe. Love it. They need a mod where there is NO slow motion, and no glowing red limbs to show strong attacks from enemies. And no sound effect other than the attack itself; not a "whooshing" noise to help warn you of said glowing attacks. I say this because on the doppelganger arena, I enjoyed not seeing the strong attacks coming and dodged them more intuitively better anyway because it was easier to see the actual foot or punch coming at me. Still having trouble getting gold stamps. Love this shit though.

This update reminds me of that episode of spongebob where he slaps a patty on the grill and customers are like "that's what we've been waiting for!!!" The past updates were ok, but with a combat system as fun as this, an arena mode is really what the game needed the most. I can't wait for the next batch of arenas, hopefully we get a club arena and a truly endless mode with relentless waves that won't stop until you fall. Keep up the great work slocap 🐊🐊🐊

Bough the steam release instantly. My only complaint so far is that the sweep just doesn´t come out sometimes. The tutorial asks you to do it quickly but if you input too quickly it doesn´t register.

When the game first came out, I played until I beat it without taking damage. I just got back into it, and I'm plowing through these arena challenges. Feels like a whole new breath of life for the game, and they're making one more update. I hope they continue with the series, because this is one of my favorite games now.

I love the game but man I lost alot of respect for slow clap caving in to crying babies and adding an easy mode. And on top of that letting easy earn the platinum trophy when us that actually learned the game to get good enough to get it got a good slap in the face. They clearly wanted the game to be challenging especially being so short what a waste of money the game would be on easy mode bet them same people complaining it was too hard then complained it's too short lol

I do love me a game with no mandatory tutorials and if there is no tutorial, I don't care too much, specially if it's a really good game. But I understand how this makes it better for every public. Sifu is amazing, I feel like arenas give a nice life extension for the game. As a wing chun fighter I find some moves to be so satisfying to watch, they just feel right. I'm glad the devs are still developing this game.

Honestly I always thought you were a bit too critical of Sifu, but it seems you've done very good for the community. While we cant say for sure, you were the only person advocating for a training mode. It's not needed for most people, but its needed for some, so its absolutely justified. Great video! But there is one thing you're very wrong about 😂 5:25 I f******* DESPISE the "I know kung fu" arena challenge. The slowmo is supposed to be an advantage, but it is a severe handicap, as it throws off all my timing. I beat the game deathless twice, and I struggle with even the first wave of this effing thing. If it wasn't necessary for the achievement, I would have gladly leave it uncompleted.

Dude, the update is great but please do not promote the fixed camera as the new norm. It’s great at first as a gimmick, but if I could toggle it off, I would in a heartbeat. It’s terrible for actually trying to complete the gold challenges

@@underthemayo the fixed camera leads to much more problems than fixes. You lose depth perception where it’s much easier to whiff attacks; directional attacks and throws get muddied or thrown in the wrong direction; dodging (avoid) becomes weird if the camera pulls back too much to where it’s harder to see lows and the directional input can get skewed (again); and obstructions to the character are much much more prevalent to where if you so much as turn the corner in a hallway, you’re blocked by a wall or pillar, and enemies simply have to walk in front of you and now you’re blinded and not able to see a thing. It looks cool from someone just watching playing and it looks great as a set-piece and gimmick of an arena, but it’s a pain if you’re going for precision gameplay, opening up way more problems. And it definitely would not fit the rest of the game. The problem with the normal camera is just when you’re pushed into a corner, otherwise it’s much preferred. You are like one of the only people I’ve ever seen prefer a fixed camera for a game like this. It’s not a 2-D game, so I don’t want to play like a 2-D game.

Love the update. I agree with nearly everything you said. But I TOTALLY disagree about the camera. I love having control over it myself. It feels so much better. I absolutely hated the fixed camera of certain arenas. There are times I can't see what's right in front of me, and there's nothing I can do about it.
