Looks great with dummy. Great explanation with push pull.
@vyvial13 жыл бұрын
@sillumwingchun The "push pull" uses a huen sau, circling hand, if the elbow goes up, it is considered wrong because there is no power. You also open yourself up when you lift the elbow. The elbow is a static position when doing a huen sau. When you see the elbow go up, it is normally just a lazy position. You will often see some well known wing chun players do it when they are not concentrating on what they are doing. However, when they teach it, they show a static elbow.

The bong should extend out to create distance while your side stand is to the center. Your collapsing bong allows your opponent too close

exelent video thank you. i live in a remote area and thee is no place near were i live to go study wing chun. i am forced to learn on my own. i build a wooden dummy a couple months ago just learning the form.

@alittle72 well as far as im aware what is the point of practasing the form then changing it to make it " real".......the tan sao position does not work when it is collapesd but only when it is extended, maybe I am missing something here....

is there any reason why the Tan sao position is collapsed ?.....pause the clip around 0.26 and this position looks very weak to me, there's no extension in the Tan sao...

For you info Sifu Sergio is almost 38 years old and has been studing Wing Chun for over 26 years he runs the IWKA an association represented in 18 countries please do some research before you post comments like this . wishing you a nice day.

I like sifu Sergio's vids. He is making a good contribution to the world of wing chun. I agree with the comments about his tan sao as it looks very weak ( in that particular shot) to me. Also I think that if you full down with the fook sao your opponent could hit you with an outside whipping punch or simply smack you in the ear. Apart from those observations I think this is a good piece of work and very educational. Thanks for sharing Sifu Sergio. keep up the good work.

@MediumSizedCrane ... what do you mean by "Shaolin roots". All Wing/Ving/Vinh/Weng Chun comes from Shaolin. By the way.. how do you know from where is Master Wing lineage? Nobody knows it... do you?

First: with Where it comes from, I mean of what part of the combat the idea and the movements came from. second: this is VERY effective and useful in real combat (much more than you can imagine) in fact, is almost essential if you want to learn the technique correctly.
@MediumSizedCrane14 жыл бұрын
@RudolfTime The name Wing Chun comes from Ng Mui's first and only apprentice that we know of, Yim Wing Chun. Most people know this much, but before it was Wing Chun it was called Ng Mui Fist in the Shaolin Temple. In the world today we see Wing Chun form, force, philosophy, and application being taught in two distictively different ways, external cultivation leading to internal(Shaolin) or vice-versa(Yim Wing Family). The best method to be applied depends upon the students mind and body.

@sillumwingchun If you train to pull with your elbow up, you'll leave a vulnerable gap in your defense which can be easily penetrated. If your elbow is up, you're pulling from the wrist. If another person is strong and pushes through, the wrist is way too weak to upset the other person's balance. If you keep you elbow down, however, you use you whole body and structure to perform the pull and the person will get off balance while your defence remains tight.

Every time the same mistake: claiming "Ip Man Wing Chun" but still showing "Leung Ting WT", that he had learned in his early years. Notice: there is a big difference between both..

sergio is one of many thast learned in germany from kernspecht and leung ting. then he founded his own organisation and is working with masters of different wing chun stiles. you can´t say its like black belt or dan. there are 12 stundent grades and then four techision grades abd at last there are 8 grade of practioner, last three or four are issued by the organisation in hong kong i think. long time ago i made wt but my heart beats for jeet kun do. the car is almost good as his driver

Sifu Great wooden dummy set great torque and sensitivity of Changing Directions timing and precise technical application i liked it very much you seem very open . I have a dummy set as well on you tube Its under Sifu jack Soderberg its a longer range wooden dummy that uses four ranges of fighting and grappling and weapons . My teacher Was Wai lun chois Sifu danny inosanto has trained with him I trained with Sifu danny . He liked this dummy . I study Tibetan Lama & JKD. Sifu jack
@alittle7214 жыл бұрын
@wingchun91 I dont think the dummy form is cramped at all if you have correct positioning and energy, and the dummy is not just for strengthening your arms, although as a result of of continous training / practice your arms will become well conditioned, for me I practice all of my forms with positiones I would use "for real", why waste the time to train a move that you would not use ?
@bordereye14 жыл бұрын
@jasma98 Two very quick answers to your (intelligent) observations: 1) There's at least another, far "stronger", version of tan-sao that Iadarola teaches to his students. Same section of the Dummy. 2) No, your opponent could NOT hit you with an outside whipping punch or simply smack you in the ear, if you pull properly. It's a very subtle technique that allows you to keep control, not a simple pull (which, as you say, would open your defence). Take care. :-)

@AirmanSoupaman Wing Chun is perhaps the only system, which teaches itself from a certain level. So dont travel around instead of study those aspects of wingchun, one could comprehend intellectually (principles, main ideas, system approach, forms a.s.o.). Besides: there were more wc-teachers along than yip man, who wasnt a godlike holyman. Someone had to teach him as well, someone did beat him though and someone trained along with him. Diligence cant be exchanged by anything...
@MediumSizedCrane14 жыл бұрын
Master Wong's Wing Chun comes from Shaolin roots. Sifu Sergio's Wing Chun comes from the Yim Wing family roots. Both are honorable. Both teach good Kung Fu.

@federico.ranieri990212 жыл бұрын
hahaha you got some reason in what you say. but that's not the fault of the wooden dummy. obviously (no intention of offending) you've never practiced wing tsun and never learned wooden dummy. you do not know what it is used for. I did boxing for 8 years and I did taekwondo kick boxing judo for many years to.wooden dummy is not made to hit. the goal is perfecting the technique and posture, wooden dummy simulates an indestructible enemy much stronger and heavier than us.
@MCBosmans13 жыл бұрын
@dgethai74 There really is no such thing as the ''Yip Man system''. Every student of Yip Man has/had another Wing Chun. Sergio has learnt the version of Leung Ting. Leung Ting isn't the only Yip Man lineage. I don't know how they do it, but Yip Man taught to keep your elbow down, like I explained in my previous comment.
