Yep. As Gaben has said, the game should be affected by your actions, as a proof, and a reaction that the game acknowledged your decision and performance. If the game didn't acknowledge your actions and didn't give different reaction when you do things differently, it basically fails the player as their choice didn't actually matter. Especially when the protagonist do things perfectly and the game still acts and puts him into losing cutscene.

​​@@01_zenyobithe game does react to when you dish out alot of damage against bosses in a short span, it's just doesn't work well with yang because the best way to beat him is to break his posture and not delete his health,which is done meticulously which makes you miss out on opportunities to deal pure raw damage

there are special dialogue prompts for earlier bosses where if you don’t hit them and just parry/dodge they’ll say something, dunno about yang

surprisingly, Yang didnt give me much trouble, got him at 68 yrs old after like 3 or 4 deaths (yes, thats alot of deaths before reaching Yang, my 500 hours in Sekiro and 2k hours in Elden Ring ego made me choose Master level and i underestimated Sifu's difficulty). Since im more familiar to deflecting and parry, but not ducking to dodge projectiles or range swing, so CEO and Hiroki gave me much more works. Each gave me 10 or more deaths, make me consume like 8k of exp just to reducing the age. but to sume up, Sifu is harder to beat than Sekiro (for now cuz ive just started 3 days ago, it might get easier when i get more used to the game)
