As a Wing Chun sifu, you should know the Chief Wing Chun advisors of the movie included Ip Ching and Ip Chun, who both are Ip man's sons. Also, it just a movie that Donnie Yen and Ip Chun are agreed not to make a documentary but a beautiful story for the audience to remember Ip man. Just so you know, don't judge the movie in a realistic way or you will be painful.

Yuen Woo Ping, the fight choreographer, is know for using wire work for his fight scenes. This and the rest of the action from the whole film series is meant to emphasize that these fighters are practically superhuman. That the art they specialize has gifted the ability to do feats some would deem impossible. But this is just my opinion, though.

It’s right that the knifes would not cut through wood like this or the weapons are to light to destroy stone and wood but I think it’s made like that to just symbolise the power of two masters , that they can do things others can not imagine

If you practice Wing Chun, you must surely be able to tell Tin Chi and Ip Man were competing in all elements of Wing Chun. So surely you know the first battle was the six and a half point pole technique. You state that in Wing Chun they use heavy poles, so are you stating the traditional six and a half point pole technique is done with heavy poles generally? Why? The greater mass affects speed does it not? And the second battle with the blades, that was the butterfly knives Wing Chun technique right? Is that also the correct type of blade used?

the one is black doesnt mind going for the kill since he pretty much is used to anyways. his style is more brutal as well when compared to ip man. he usually goes for the kill or breakdown of his opponent's body

You must have read wrongly then. Donnie Yen has been doing Wing Chun for a long time. There are a lot of demonstrations in China for Wing Chun, and he's usually the guy on the Wooden Dummy.

@@matinknight9527 Wrong. Read Donnie's Wikipedia page. He learned Wing Chun under Ip Man's son, Ip Chun, for 9 months to prepare for the role. Ip Chun said that Donnie picked it up faster than any other student that he's ever taught.

I think cheung tin chi wing chun is more aggressive version of ip mans because he uses a lot of elbows and kicks i also like his stance as ip man uses the centre line stance but if you notice through out the movie cheungs stance is more like what i would call the cross arm defence

@@jackwalling8213 yeah, Cheung tin chi is more aggressive(only because this is his personality), and his wing chun is actually more conventional one(低脚咏春). What Ip man used is an improved one, called 高脚咏春.

@@EmpowerYourLifewithBogdanRosu One of the best fight scenes ever but the chances of you fighting that hard and fast for that long is very slim in real life and it was so funny how Max Zhang dodged and blocked most of those other moves and easy but did not block a one inch punch and could not hit Ip-Man slowly backing up and blinded in one eye.Max Zhang plays in another Ip-Man movie to there is four with Donnie Yen and there is other Ip-Man movies.
