I remember earlier seasons, when Sig would just dangle that carrot (to captain the Northwestern aka NW) in front of Jake's face. So Jake did all he needed to get certifiedand, trained, and licensed, so he could captain the NW. Sig told Jake he needed to earn it, that they weren't just gonna give it to him. Then Sig said it wasn't gonna happen. Jake then got the opportunity to captain another boat. But got lied to by that captain to take over his boat. So Jake feeling depressed and defeated goes back to NW. Where they still treated him like shit aka green horn. Then Sig starts training Mandy to captain and take over the NW. In front of Jake's face. Where she didn't earn it. But it wasn't her fault. Her dad Sig, is a Dick. Then the opportunity came up to take over Elliott's boat, the Saga. And Jake jumped at that chance. Sig then has the audacity to say Jake betrayed him, and left them hanging. Like I said Sig, what a Dick/Asshole. From this clip, at least Mandy sees the big picture and future. Realizing if she's honest and helpful, everyone will have her back and help her out. And Sig is to ignorant to see this. Sorry for the long comment, but I hate it when someone who has showed loyalty, and hard work, and makes many sacrifices, gets lied to and screwed over. Team Jake all the way. Mandy did the right thing because she helped Jake when he needed to find the crab. Then when the NW couldn't find the crab, Jake returned the favor. The decision to give Jake information (with or without Sig's permission) benefited both boats immensely. As to your argument that Sig was excluded, Mandy told him the truth when he came back anyways. Next time you want to argue something, stay on topic and answer the core issue, not some random aside that has nothing to do with what is or isn't wrong.

Love how Sig’s bitching.. but you can hear the dudes on deck shouting/cheering about the full Pots they’re bringing up ! LoL. So even though info was shared on that line.. he still was successful, but didn’t even realize at first cause he was so annoyed with his Daughter. Good karma came her way later too… with a huge haul ! 👍 Sig probably just feels like he’s moving out while others are moving in, which is true and I’m sure frustrating for him. …but he’s had a GREAT run 👏👍

I don’t get why Sig would be mad at this. Mandy gave Jake information to improve his quota and Sig was already pulling the crab in. The benefit to helping Jake (or any other captain) is that they all have a good catch and the government doesn’t consider the area over-fished and shut it down. It helps all of them. And either way, they all have quotas so it isn’t a competition of who can catch more. Also, now the NW can leverage that favor when they need something.
