I believe that the Spartans in the image are Spartan 3's, which means what you say, is fairly true of them, most died in action, or as the saying makes us believe, they are only missing in action, and hopefully will someday return.

Man, this takes me back. I was a senior in high school when I heard this. Now I’m in grad school, still trying to be the person I want to be. My old (kinda lame) comment is here. I still write too. I like to think I got better at it. Just… Damn. 7 years ago I was this dumb kid with his head in the clouds.
