Mine had the exact same issues, but it smoothed out after approx. 200 rounds and is now 100% reliable, or at least it has been for the past 500 rounds... I know it shouldn't require a break in period and should work 100% right out of the box, but that's the reality of the situation!

I've heard about the feeding issues with the Fuse, but those were addressed in newer releases with the X-ray front sight and upgraded guide rod springs. I'm reading several posts in response to this video mentioning a break-in period was necessary. However, I believe a handgun should perform flawlessly right out of the box. I had a terrible experience with a Walther PPK (the S&W version) about 25 years ago; it just wouldn’t feed or extract properly, so I got rid of it immediately. My everyday carry (EDC) needs to function perfectly, or my confidence in it is shaken-especially when my life is on the line. Years later, I purchased a Walther PPS for my EDC. The salesperson promised that if it didn’t perform as expected, he would buy it back with no questions asked. That gun has served as my EDC for over ten years, and I've fired thousands of rounds through it without a single malfunction. I wanted to upgrade solely because I needed more than eight rounds. Despite the failures associated with the Fuse, those issues seem isolated to older models. When I first held the Fuse, it felt perfect in my hands. After doing more research, I decided to buy it. As my first Sig, I'm holding it to high standards. The salesperson assured me that if it doesn’t work, I can bring it back. I also purchased a lifetime warranty on the gun and the Romeo X sight it came with. It’s now day two, and I haven’t fired it yet, but I have cycled every type of round I own through it without any malfunctions. I plan to fire it for the first time later today. I’ll update you on how it goes. Fingers crossed, as I've heard too many great things about this gun to dismiss the negative reviews. Take care, friends!

@workthetrigger3 ай бұрын
@tdoom2421 I don't think barrel is the issue. It seems to be extractor. Also doesn't seem like a batch. But Sig doesn't do great FIFO part control, so we don't really know. I'll update everyone when the gun gets back from Sig.

It’s crazy. I’ve had my Fuse around three weeks. Since then I have ran at the minimum 500 rounds through it. Not one single failure to feed. I’ve heard the magazines springs are the issue. The feed ramp needs to polished. I am fortunate that mine feeds fine. Just installed some new springs to tune it a bit. Good luck.
@workthetrigger3 ай бұрын
Definitely not magazine related. It's extractor related. The magazines ran fine in an X macro, but the Fuse has failures. The issue seems to be the extractor geometry or tension not allowing the round rim to slide underneath it.

@@workthetrigger just watched your update. My extractor looks just like your new slide. That may be the reason I’ve had success.

Shame to see. I bought my fs P320 the day after they released the Fuse. Best gun I own. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, I've heard never to buy a brand new Sig. Something about them always having bugs that the market brings to their attention, and then after it's been out for a few years, they're super solid. Sounds like a crap way to go about business. But then I look over at my P320 and can't stay mad at them for too long, lol.

If you think premium ammo is the test for reliability, your opinion on reliable is ranked pretty low. There's not a gun I've tested that hasn't run Blazer Brass perfectly. And I've tested more then a few guns. Is it dirty? Yep. But that only speeds up our long term testing. Plus I ran sig v crowns through it later on, which are better build and quality then either federal premium or syntech rounds.
@AffordableArmory4 ай бұрын
@@workthetrigger Well I’ve tested quite a few guns, myself. And I teach classes regularly as well as attend classes regularly with some of the best instructors in the country. So I might’ve seen a thing or two. I wouldn’t call v-crown better than Federal considering one is fmj and the other is hollow point. And have you seen a ballistics test on v-crown? Not good.
@workthetrigger4 ай бұрын
I am not talking expansion or penetration, I'm talking reliability and consistency in firing. When you have both of those have issues, it's probably not the ammo that's the problem.

Tight chamber and ammo could be out of spec. I reload, a round that would feed perfectly in my 1911 would not feed in my HK 45c. The round would not chamber because the diameter was 2/1000” too large for the HK.

Tighter tolerances mean breaking in. No one shots 1911s anymore, even the 2 and 4 thousand dollars pistols needed breaking in. There's a guy who reviewed the P365 AXG and he showed how noisy the slide was when he shook it, and guess what? no failures from that safe queen.

Not everyone has enough money or time to put thousands of rounds through a brand new piece in hopes that it breaks in. Some people can only afford 1 piece. How is this supposed to help someone feel confident that they can get this to be a EDC that doubles as home defense?
