Heg, Thanks for sharing. I just got the xl and a 48 a few days ago. Gonna compare them tomorrow. The trigger gets even better once it's broken in. At first, right out of the box, I thought the trigger was crap, gritty, etc. But I did about 200 quick racking and about 50 or so dry fire and the trigger fell right into that special zone, when you know it just feels great. I still won't buy the original 365, but the xl is totally different. Btw, clean off the crappy, sticky oil they use and just give it a spritz of Gibbsbrand (what I use on all my handguns) and run just a bit more wet than you would a Glock and you'll be amazed.

Loved my P365 so much I bought the new P365 XL, both guns are awesome, having 13 rounds aboard in a small gun like these two is a no brainer, the added barrel length and grip length is perfect for my hand size which is large, I also carry my P365 micro with the 12 round magazine which gives me that perfect grip also, I carry the 15 round mag as an extra, the sights on my P365's are fantastic I have the X-RAY Sights on my Legions and my P320 X Carry and have no need to change them to anything else, they shoot to POA, the flat trigger is the best yet, and has improved my accuracy by a wide margin, no more primer drag with the XL, and I'm not a fan of optic sights for a concealed carry gun, but it's nice to have the option, the flared mag well all though not huge is very nice for reloads and I've noticed a difference when changing out a mag, Sig has done a great job with their refinements on this P365 XL INHO, Nice review ,and look forward to more from you...

I’ve never had any problems with my 365, it’s been rock solid! I bought an XL when it came out to. I love it, it just fits me better. A couple days ago I bought the X, now I have all three. The X is perfect for carry, I haven’t shot it much but it feels great. And I’ve always been a Glock guy! I put Magguts 14 round springs in my XL, they work great and gives 15 rounds without making the gun any bigger. They’re a little expensive but worth the money. And they load easier!

yes instead of making a stronger striker to combat a perceived weakness in their indian MIM process they made the striker tip weaker. I have a 365. do yourself a favor and get the s7 tool steel striker

One note on magazine compatibility. The Sig 10 round mag with the pinky extension does not fit the 365XL, it only works with the standard P365. The 12 and 15 round extended mags are compatible with the 365 and the 365XL. The 12 and 15 round mags come with extra parts to make them compatible with either gun. There are You Tube videos out there to assist you on swapping out the parts to make the mag fit your version of the 365.

I have both of these guns and the only con I have is the mag release, I wish it was a little bit longer. I find it difficult to use. Other then that I love these two guns. I am 72 years old and I am looking forward to getting the Romeo Zero for it.

Took my P365xl out to the range today. Put 100 rounds through it. My take away is it doesn't grease on the rails. Yet for those 100 round it left a ragged hole and then I was aiming the #'s on the target to see where I was shooting. My carry gun is a Sig P320RC carry. The P365 shoots the same. Now just waiting for Sig to release the RomeoZeor for it.

I just picked up the 365xl. I carry appendix. I have found this is the perfect size. The g26 I used to carry was too short and would dignin and the g19 was too long and it was very uncomfortable, this p365 xl is very comfortable at appendix. 12 plus 1 and a 12 rnd back up mag carried in a neomag and I'm good to go

I really love my P365XL. Already put a couple hundred rounds through it and I just got it last week. Considering that it's a pretty small gun, it shoots and feels like a larger one. I'm looking forward to saving up the scratch to get the Romeo zero red dot for it.

P365 has a longer barrel (0.6") and a slight palm swell and a flared mag well. To my surprise it IS the palm swell and the slightly longer barrel that makes the XL a MUCH better shooter. Will purchase one as soon as I can get a good price on an optic ready model and HOLOSUN starts making a 507k in GREEN DOT and Titanium housing. Already have a custom made IWB leather holster by Andrews Leather in St. Augustine, Fla. which accommodates either and may well accommodate the optic. Super comfortable to wear. Sam Andrews is the best.

Worth mentioning is that the original slide fits on the xl frame. I set mine up this way to make it more compact for my on duty backup. Then I put the xl slide back on off duty because inside the waistband the longer slide makes zero difference to my comfort or concealability and the extra sight radius is more accurate. Fantastic gun, goes everywhere with me 24/7.

I noticed the muzzle flip a lot more than the OEM module but I did not install the tungson weight to the module and end up not liking the feel of the recoil and went back to keep it original. Although the grip module are great fit in my hand 😭

LOVE my 365 - but damn this is tempting. In my humble opinion, the ONLY thing missing from the 365 and 365XL is grip stippling at the thumb rest. The HellCat includes just a little patch at the thumb that really helps to keep the weak hand in place. What do you think?

Nice review. Thanks. For some of us, not in the United States, it's quite difficult to get hold of handguns ......they have to be ordered and delivered to our designated shooting clubs. It takes months. They also have to be ballistically fingerprinted by the cops before delivery...we can't change barrels or firing pins. It has to be worth the effort. No complaints: It is, what it is. We've got all the hammer-fired Sigs (the German ones), 220, 225, 226, MK25s, LDCs, X5s, 232s, and the striker fired 320s, all the European Glocks, HKs, CZs, various 1911s .......plus interesting Hi-Powers, Lugers, P38s, PPKs, etc. etc... We didn't bother with the standard 365....the 320X compact Romeo covered that "non-Glock-mini-segment". However, I do have to say the 365XL is the first sub-compact striker-fired SIG that I've considered ordering for the club. It looks great, has good features,...... AND it's not a 'mouse-gun'. Will let you all know what the British/Irish recreational shooters think of it :)

Just finished an advance marksmanship course using just my P365XL. 2000 rounds and only had one stove pipe in the first 150 rounds. Tap, Rack, Bang cleared the malfunction. Other than that, the P365XL ran flawless. I'm confidently carrying it everyday. I just need more magazines. My ONLY negative is that the Sig magazines are so expensive. Reloading 2 magazines over the course of my 2000 rounds training got very very old.

@@Hegshot87 the biggest problem I see KZbin reviewers do when reviewing the P365 is they go straight to the range before cleaning their gun. The problem is packing oil is not the same as CLP. CLP lubricates your gun under extreme heat. Packing oil just ensures the gun is lubricated and doesn't rust during transport. It even says in the owners manual to clean and properly lube the gun. However, some owners experiencing valid malfunctions should try shooting 500 rounds down the pipe before complaining. Loose pistols dont malfunction as often as pistols with tighter tolerances "out of the box." Clean, lubricate and shoot your gun. If problem persists, Sig has a LIFETIME warranty and they will make things right.

I finally felt good enough and I bought a P365 (Original) mine has worked flawlessly no striker drag no issue 450 rounds in I did also noticed my slide also sticks when the trigger is pulled not sure what that's about! Great video!

In my opinion the P365 XL is the better option when comparing the P365 XL vs P365. The two additional rounds are icing on the cake, the cake is the way the XL shoots and handles better for me.

The XL uses a single flat wire recoil spring where as the standard P365 uses two round wire springs to handle the recoil. This is very much like the Taurus PT 111 line. (which fail with heavy use.)

I bought a Glock 19 Gen 5 shortly after they came out, about 3 years ago I think. Fantastic pistol. I have thousands of rounds through it and I can't remember one misfire. My son has a 365 xl and loves it. I've shot it and I'm seriously considering one for myself. I wear xl gloves and the Glock has the smallest handle of three. I can't get my right hand comfortably around the Glock handle which makes it difficult to control. That's the only issue I have with the Glock.

Love your channel and your reviews! Been watching since you started. Just have ONE suggestion for a better overall viewer experience... Is it possible to edit the shooting footage so that it's the same volume level as the rest of your video? I get shooting steel is loud, but I notice that other channels seem to be able to do it so that way I don't have to keep adjusting the volume on my TV 50 different times during the video. Lol Again, just a suggestion, I love your vids! 👍

Great video, I will subscribe. Agree with the comment on gun range volume. Most video editors either via computer or phone app, will allow you to adjust the sound up or down for each clip. So when you are in edit mode, simply locate the volume button for the open range clip(s) and reduce volume. When you render video, it should save your volume lev3ls. GREAT VIDEO. I own the p365 and now will look into the 365ex as I’m 6’ 2" with large hands.

I almost purchased this gun. Went to local shop with cash. Wile hanging I noticed the action on the slide was incredibly gritty! 2nd issue and the deal breaker was the slide locked up when checking the trigger reset. Shop owner took a 2nd out of the box and exact same trigger issue. I carry my 365 every day, but I'm gonna pass on the XL

Personally I think the reason you don't see a lot of issues with Glocks or Smith & Wesson's, etc. is because they stay with the same design for YEARS, and only change very small parts of their design as to not disturb the reliability of the existing design they have, while I notice SIG is more about innovation and new designs all the time, so there are some teething pains with some of their newer products. Maybe I'm totally wrong, but that's what I see and it makes sense 2 me.

If you go Glock make sure you also purchase the mag release from shield. The plastic mag release on the Glock will get chewed up by the metal mag.

Get the XL. Im 200 or less and the XL is better. Same gun but biggerby a little. Length of slide and grip. Which is needed and very nice with XL And then XL has a flat trigger, more capicity slightly long sight view. U will shoot it better. And everyone likes it completely. And its slide is already cut for red dot. My two standards are for sale.
