I bought one last week and it failed straight out the box ☹️ I’m taking it back to the shop today. This makes real sense and very helpful - thanks.

My son's jammed after a few hundred rounds. The same issue and no help from sig. I solved my problem by wrapping and press fitting the black pin. Greasing all the movable parts. Now i want to share something that no one has mentioned. The very tip of the blow block or what ever you call it. Where the air comes out from to hit the pellet, the black plastic part that has a very tiny super thin spring.. After a few shots it gets gunked up and the spring is to weak to push it back into position not allowing the reset jamming the pellet. All I did was grease all the movable parts and changed that little spring for a stronger one to pushes back and seals for the next trigger pull...the dirt from the co2 and the pot metal creates gunk that seize that part.. some light sanding a couple of good placed springs and grease will fix the problem.... it did for me..

Thanks for posting this. I also would have paid more for a better quality item, I think the concept works except for the low quality internal parts. I would be very interested in uprated parts for mine. There are seals kits for these on Ebay UK now but no actual parts

I've had 2 MCX's and a MPX, all which have failed on me within 6 months. I'm done with SIG, I won't buy another airgun or firearm from them. If you want reliability in an AR platform go with a DPMS SBR or Crosman R1. They are the the same internally. I own both and have put 7500 rounds through them without a hiccup. Plus it has all the working controls of an AR. (and full auto) 2 pins to remove and you are inside. Good stuff. And it's accurate.

I have MCX like 2months still working ,lot of issues MCX in utube. But my crosman dpms more than 1 year it’s work perfect. Thanks for the video

Thanks for posting. I had two of these fail--mine and one for my dad. I'm going to pull it apart and see what is going on. I'm probably out of warranty, though. Very disappointed with Sig Sauer for this.

Thank you for posting this, I've watched all your videos on the MCX, I'm having a leak as well. I have it running off of HPA like you do, and I have a small steady leak shooting out of the magazine well basically, I'm going to tear it apart and start looking for busted seals . It still shoots, just had a steady leak

@@macsteer45mac96 well, it's holding now, I replaced all the seals , but I absolutely do not doubt you at all. You seen like you know what you're doing, and have really dove into this thing and tried to fix it. Are you still making a rebuild kit for these ? I would be interested 😁thank you sir 👍 I also picked up the Virtus pcp , I had no idea the internals we're basically the same 😑 it's holding up so far, we shall see.......

I've had both the MPX and MCX fail after about 300 rounds, in both cases, Sig replaced the nozzle and sent the guns back. 300 or so rounds later, the sam problem occured again ! The finally sent me a Gen 2 MCX, and IT failed. I finally disassembled it and repaired it myself. So far it is working fine. You are correct, they heed to make these vital parts from a better material to improve reliability.

Mine seems to be leaking at the valve itself. Do you know if the valve is repairable? Or if one is purchasable? Had it just over two years and less than 150 pellets through it, but I’m sure it’s out of warranty.

My MCX wont seal the CO2 canister. I went to screw it on and it leaks immediately. It had approx 90 rounds shot out of it. It was only the second canister I used.

I got the MCX and MPX both Gen 2. I hope this problem is fixed on Gen 2. I only have gone through 1 90g Co2 cartridges on both. But, my issue is the accuracy, it doesn't consistently shoot straight to the target. It's the worst accuracy air gun ever. It is just frustrating shooting it, just for plinking. It's just make you keep pulling the trigger until you hit the target. The Sig pellet air pistol is more accurate.

Mine was very accurate at 25ys, just kept breaking down after a few shots.......good luck.

Did you ever develop a internal upgrade? I got around 800 shots before it failed. Bought it used at a gun shop. Probably no warranty. I like the gun and I don't want to get rid of it or put it in the closet and forget about it you know.

I just copied it off the box, I don't think there is any kind of blue print you can get......

The crosman sbr are great reliable rifles for the money, that shows sig has no excuse for a subpar product, hell I would pay more for a sig if they would just build a more reliable rifle.

If your having issues on your mcx/mpx... I've found the solution 🤗. I'll be making a video today on exactly how to. The main issue is the tubing. Make sure once you've watched my video to like and subscribe.

get a used 88 gr. Bottle and turnit into a PCP bottle but you'll have to leave it in the gun while under pressure.

I had a feeling these were trash.. SMH ..what a waste. My only issue with airguns is there is often no way to fix them, I own many and two of my favorite are currently broken and I cant fix them unfortunately

What is your FPS supposed to be? I look in a lot of places, and I read 700 FPS, and even a User Image of the Box said that. But for some reason, my Box reads 545 FPS. So I am just a bit confused as to what it is supposed to be.

thanks Chris........the Velocity on the box says 575fps, I found after using GAMO 7.56 30rds on my MPX avg FPS to be 444.8

The velocity numbers these airgun manufacturers put on boxes are often with the lightest pellets. There’s much lighter lead free pellets out there around 5 grain which will give you numbers closer to 545 ft/s. A quick search came up with Predator GTO .177 Cal, 5.5 gr. So 5.5 grain, and if my math is correct you will probably get around 521 ft/s with those.

@@chrisflowers-smoker154 I believe the MCX and MPX only use pellets; I’ve never tried BBs in mine, but I imagine they won’t sit in the magazine chain like they should. Yes, BB grain is around 5 which would potentially increase muzzle velocity, but I believe BBs also are a little smaller in diameter than equivalent sized pellets which could mean some loss of power as some of the air can leak around it when shot. I’m not sure how much of a loss this could be. They are also more inaccurate than pellets are.
