I just bought a P226R Scorpion Elite on August 9, 2022 at Canyon Sports in, CA for $1,638.36. I've been "shopping" for one for two and a half years, and haven't even seen a SIG in that time period. SIG's were suddenly available at the LGS so I grabbed it. No problem about the price. Still must wait another 10 days to take possession. They did have other SIG models available, but my heart has been set on the P226 Scorpion for a long time.

Just purchased this, living in CA too. The only Sig I would have bought over this was the P226 Legion SAO, unfortunately not CA legal.

+WallStreetFreddy I practice with, and stockpile the 124gr because I carry 124gr+p GDHP as my defense load. There's a few small reasons why. Heavier projectiles produce more recoil, which in turn cycles your slide more reliably. Some semiautos don't feed it reliably, because the bullet is a bit longer, and sticks a bit farther out of the case causing issues with feeding, but most guns will run fine with it, you just have to see what works for each specific firearm. Also, you tend to get a bit better barrier penetration with heavier projectiles. The muzzle velocity will be lower than a 115gr, but if it's being fired out of a full size handgun, the longer barrel gives the bullet a bit more time to gain speed before exiting the muzzle. As a side note, 9mm NATO is loaded with 124gr fmj, if that means anything. I kind of went through a phase where I was obsessed with Internal, transitional, external, and terminal ballistics for a while lol. In my opinion, 124gr is the best choice, but preparing for an unknown situation is going to give you different conclusions, and opinions from person to person.

+Thirt33n 13 Hey man i bought some 124gr and i myself prefer to shoot that over the 115gr. Its also my preffered home defense gun and hollow point 124gr makes more sense being its a heavier projectile for an unkown object. Ive since then started practicing with 124gr only.

Hi first i‘d like to say nice video .i got one of those also at turner's but mine once in a while doesn't lock back on the last shot i did some research and found a couple of videos where they show the same issue i found out that it was the factory magazines not the gun being responsible for ,it i bought some mec gar magazines and haven't had that problem any more i don't know if you had the same problem with yours .overall i'm happy with my scorpion it's my first sig i'm a h&k guy but I will definitely buy more sigs in the future thanks again for the video
