I don't know if it was mentioned and I missed it, but the frame on the Legion version is an aluminum alloy vs steel on both other versions of the X-FIVE. That makes the Legion version about 4 or so ounces lighter. The Legion version also includes tungsten infused grips. Keep up the good works. You have some of the best reviews out thete.

I think you’re nitpicking here. Both are beautiful gats, I wouldn’t kick either out of my gunsafe. I’ll take a P226 over the P320 any day. Something about metal-framed, hammer-fired pistols just have cool factor that striker-fired pistols don’t have.

Those are not "plastic" grips on the P226 XFive Legion. Those are TXG "Tungsten Infused Grips". Honestly after trying them they are single handedly the best grips ever made.

As somebody that prefers a P226 as a "duty" weapon, the P226 X5 Legion fits that bill nicely. Actually, I just want that comped slide to run on an alloy framed DA/SA P226. :)

I have the P226 X5, I bought it for the steel frame, adjustable trigger (2.5-4lb) the G10 grips and the gas pedal over the Legion and the classic X5. The P226 is my all time favorite 9mm.

The counterpart to your "Classic" is the P226 X5 STAS which comes with the gas pedal and black grip with more aggressive texturing. I love the STAS and my 226 X5 Legion ships the 8th.

I have both, great guns. Alloy frame and comp/ barrel length is the main difference. Put the legion slide on the steel x5 frame, flat shooter

I feel like the P226 x5 Legion should be a bit cheaper it because it has an aluminum frame. The Regular X5 has a steel frame, and they are both the same price.

Great vid dude but you should register for the legion program, for nothing else other than being able to buy parts and mags that match your gun. Takes nothing to do and then you have a whole section in the sig store to shop from that you otherwise aren’t able to.

I think these are cool range guns but probably won’t see many in USPSA LO. Most folks’ll be running 9mm OR 2011’s. The Legion version is light enough to make weight for IDPA CO as OEM integrated comps are now allowed. Also 3Gun Open but Staccatto XC’s exist , so maybe not .

After playing with both over the last couple months I ended up buying the legion today at the sig center. Wow they give you some deals, oops enough of that. The legion is fun and very smooth, unfortunately I will have to figure out what to do with the tear down gas petal, being a lefty just doesn’t work for me

The biggest thing for me is the want of the x five. I have always beeb fond of it, and the shorter barrel just kinda defeats the idea of sig's classically magic feeling of the X five. The half inch missing in the legion makes me feel as though i would have to explain the reason that its "not really an x five" I love the legion x five, and i do want it, but its a tough choice. I feel as though i would be better off buying the 226 zev and a regular 226 x five, over the legion x five. For the legion to really make a difference over the regular x five variant, i would want it to be another half inch longer in the slide department to keep the comp, and the barrel with the magic number of 5. The $200-$300 price difference isnt really that big a deal to me, just the want for that barrel to be 5 inches. Silly, yes, but still meaningful in the sense of the series.

To each his own, but that expansion chamber is allegedly fairly effective and I’m sure the feeling is different. I’m not sure the loss of half an inch actually means anything for most people, but the length of slide is already just the benefit.

@@Cortezuma granted, im certain the loss of that half inch doesnt really mean much of anything, and probably not even a big difference in performance. I love the integrated comp, and im picking at much of nothing, certainly, but its the value behind the X-Five series, and the meaning signifiying the 5 inch barrel. The leguon is beautiful, and functionally so, at that, but my dumbass just feels unrest over that barrel. 🤣

320 AXG Legion trigger is still a 320 trigger. It’s the best version of the 320 but it’s still the 320. 226 blows it out of the water in probably every category.

P226 X5 is a made in Germany mastershop and is like the original SIGs. They no longer make P226 X5s.
