Really glad you did this video. 99% of the videos I’ve seen have been x-compact or carry and nothing on the pro series. I got mine a couple weeks ago and I love it.

The Australian Department of Defence has just announced that the P320 X Carry Pro has been selected as the Browning Hi-Power replacement for the Australian Regular Army beginning later this year. As an Aussie civilian I’m please with DoD’s choice. Every now and then they get it right.

I haven’t really been into Sig polymer guns until recently. Partially due to the many public bugs they’ve recently had in the P365 and P320 models, but my local dealer had a deal on an unshot P320c Pro at a super price. I picked it up and I have to say the new grip module is wonderfully ergonomic. Big improvement. I love the flat trigger and night sights so I had to get it. Then I took it to the range and it really impressed me. It was so intuitive and I started shooting it really decently in the first range session. It points really well shoots very flat for me. At 10 yards I was able to consistently open up a jagged hole right below the bullseye. Between the break and the comfortable grip this gun is a shooter. I ran a tactical course on my range with it and got hits on torso sized plates at 30-40 yards easily. For a compact gun, it punches above its weight class. I am definitely going to carry it. I am a fan of this gun.

Yup, I'm not a huge fan of the Sig polymer stuff either in general, but this one just hits different for me too. I really like it. It's still a range toy for me though, I've been carrying Glocks for way too long and have a disturbing amount of rounds through Glocks, and don't want to retrain a new grip angle.

@@ConcealedSteel Everybody has their own thing. I have a G19 Gen 2 that was made in June 1989 and is still good to go. I just don’t shoot Glocks as well as my PDP, VP9 or this gun and I’m not one of those guys that is going to spend $300+ to make a pistol do for me to what the others do out of the box (good trigger ight sights in sone cases). I’ve shot brand new Gen 4 Glocks and it has taken me a long time to figure out how to shoot a Glock decently whereas I can pick up a VP9 without having shot it before and wear out the bullseye. That’s just me. Glocks are good guns and always work, but their ergos for me aren’t as good as other makes. I have to focus to shoot them well. Also they need to truly innovate as other manufacturers are lapping them. Lose the crappy stock sights already, Glock. It’s time. How my Steyr was born.

Bought one six weeks ago. Put around 500 rounds through it with no issues. Took a little while to get my head around the sight picture, meaning aiming point and actual POI Very comfortable, balanced and slick operating firearm. Shoots straight as too. Appreciated your post and opinions. God bless

Thanks, likewise. I'm a huge fan of this one as well.
@derekmorrow10402 жыл бұрын
yeah- that sight picture is bad. The sensory indicators for a shoot decision are generally visual. So I cannot have a downrange target covered up by the whole front sight.
@ConcealedSteel2 жыл бұрын
That's a bummer, mine shoots POI at the top of the front post. You may be able to get a slightly taller front post and fix that.
@derekmorrow10402 жыл бұрын
@@ConcealedSteel No kidding? Well, this would not be the first time I've known of same-model Sigs being delivered with different sight combinations. Do you know the Sig sight numbers for front and rear (usually stamped on the sight; may need reading glasses)?
@derekmorrow10402 жыл бұрын
@@ConcealedSteel BTW, having done this a handful of times- in order to move your shot up from obscured to edge of the blade, you'd want a shorter front (or taller rear).

Exactly what I was looking for. Nice summary initial review. Had a 320 Carry a few years ago but wasn't sufficiently impressed to keep it around with numerous interchangeable Glocks. Liked the size, liked the trigger's rearward operation (I don't ride the reset; it's a poor training idea that has no applicability to fast shooting, which is generally tactical shooting.). As you said it was a little chunkier than a Glock. I'll cut a lot of slack on the form factor when a pistol performs well. Sounds like the frame is much better, and looks like it's much better for a high speed mount and draw compared to the original. And as you mentioned about the rear sight... no way I was buying the plate-integral version: Sigs have always necessitated a zero correction to the top edge of the sight and not superimposing/blocking sight of the target. So I think this X/Pro Carry is going to be the "other" striker gun in my safe.

Was perfectly reliable, but I actually sold it this past week. I have been daily carrying Glocks for so long and practice with them so much that I just know how they point. Training with guns that have a different grip angle messes my instincts up. That's really the only reason. The trigger reset left a bit to be desired as well.
