I bought this wing and now this video gives a better perspective and I’ll be the first one to say the wing looks so awkward in the car, looks like it doesn’t really fit and it was forced on I just don’t see the flow in the rear end here.. I almost don’t look forward to this install now lol

This is definitively a wing and is why I'm using it as an example. Therefore, the next time you wonder whether or not a an aerodynamic device is a wing or a spoiler simply look at the end of this wing at the 2:01 mark. Notice the curved shape which is thicker at the leading (front) edge and tapers (is thinner) toward the trailing (rear) edge. If you look at most aircraft you'll notice the wing is thick at the leading edge and tapers toward the trailing edge. It's that shape that results in lift. A spoiler on the other hand does NOT have such an aerodynamic cross-section and is designed to reduce drag by controlling the airflow off the back of the car in a manner that prevents it from inducing drag. Again: A wing produces downforce. Whereas a spoiler helps prevent drag*. Two distinctly different purposes and names. *Results in improved fuel mileage which varies depending on several criteria.

Thanks for posting. I see C7 Carbon has a Z07 style rear wing that is chassis mounted and that the end caps don't appear to have bolts going through them but it costs $2999.

They offer a small secondary spoiler that covers the holes. For the price, you can easily get the body work done. And the end caps are really good in my opinion.

Can you do some close ups of the wing sometime? I want to give Sigala the benefit of doubt, but at Carlisle their quality was subpar to put it nicely! I'm loving the look of the Z07 wings, but I want quality more than anything and I know other manufacturers are creating this style wing too, so quality is where I want to focus! Thanks -Shane

Absolutely. The quality is there and I spoke to them about any potential issues with the finish. I can't speak for them. But, I'm sure they'd make it right.

I ordered a Z07 style wing for the C8 a 2 post style , was told 4-6 weeks for shipping it’s been 8 weeks, mailbox is full,leave text, even spoke to a lady once and was promised shipping last week,still nothing . Looks good but the end caps on the edges of the trunk don’t match the trunk color. They are slightly off. I’m sure you noticed this as well. In passing you obviously won’t notice but as someone who takes pride in their car I’m sure it kills you. Hence why you want to get them filled at a body shop.

Just search for zr1 style c8 front lip. Yeah, that front lift was more important than I realized.
