We are in Sighişoara - Transylvania, the Birthplace of TURKISH ENEMY Vlad Dracula.
Today, we are following the traces of one of the actors who have had a significant impact on Turkish and World history. He is the notorious Count Dracula, the Voivode the Impaler.
First of all, I want to talk about the city. Sighişoara is the best preserved medieval city I have ever seen. It's like we're still in the middle ages. We visit the house where Vlad Tepeş was born in the first hours of the morning. It really has survived to the present day, just like it was from the 15th century.
Sighişoara is a historical city located in Romania, in the Transylvania region. The city has a medieval castle and a historic center surrounded by the old city walls.

All in all, Sighişoara is a beautiful city to visit with its historical, cultural and natural beauties.
About Count Dracula:
Voivode the Impaler is a famous Romanian prince whose real name is Vlad III Dracula. His name means "pile-driving leader" in Turkish, and he earned this name for his use of impalementing prisoners of war.
Vlad III Dracula ruled in the Valakian principality in the 15th century. During his reign, he fought with the Ottoman Empire and defended his country. One of the reasons why it is called the Impaler is because the Ottoman Empire took drastic measures to protect the Romanians living on Romanian territory during the occupation of Romanian territory.
Vlad the Impaler has a frightening image as he is accused of sadism. He is particularly known for using the impalement method of captives. However, he is also considered a hero by many Romanians because he tried to protect his country from attacks against the Ottoman Empire and Mehmet the Conqueror.
The life of Voivode the Impaler was used as one of the characters in the novel Dracula by Bram Stoker. Dracula is inspired by the life of Vlad the Impaler. For this reason, the character of Dracula is also identified with Vlad the Impaler.
