I bought a similar sight pusher off Amazon recently and started looking around youtube to see how best to use it. I found some pretty bad vids. To my pleasant surprise, this one by Lenny popped up and I knew I'd found gold. He has got the ability to explain things so effortlessly and thoroughly. Great video and thanks for making it.

I got one of these today, bought it second hand. Have used it on two Glocks already. It works great so far, knock on wood. It is carbon steel so keep it lightly oiled.

I bought this tool from GlockStore about a month ago. It works great. It really is an affordable way to easily remove and replace your sights.

I have one of these and it has been doing the job for years now; that said the threads are too course to give you fine control. Sometimes takes me a few tries to make those last few adjustments when the sights are tight; that is my only suggestion to make this good tool a little better for me.

I purchased this and have already removed and installed sights on two of my glocks (TFOs and Ameriglo I-dot Pros). It works with glocks just as advertised. With that said, I have not tried it with any others.

I've had mine for a couple of months. When I got it the XD and XDm blocks were not drilled for the setscrew or pushrod. New ones were sent in less than a week free of charge. So far Ive changed the rear sight on a Glock22, and front and rear sights on an XDs and and XDm. I recommend using Aerokroil on the threads, and coating the top of the sight pushing block with Moly or similar so it wont bind on the top of the tool. After doing this, the tool works flawlessly. Shim material between slide and blocks is up to you, but choose something that doesn't like to crush or the slide will try to roll in the blocks.

I ended up buying the Sight Pusher Tool for my M&P Shield 9mm when I did the Apex trigger installation . . . worked like a charm for getting the rear sight off--which is notoriously a gigantic pain in the butt on the Shields. Tried tapping the sight off several times and finally gave up as it would not budge and I was scratching it up. Even with the Sight Pusher Tool it fought coming out, but with a little help from a heat gun and enough force it finally popped it loose and out. Then the tool was instrumental in re-installing. I did have to make some shims to go under the slide as the Sight Pusher Tool didn't come close to matching up to the sight out of the box (was way too high) but that wasn't too hard to handle with some thin cardboard cut-outs stacked up. Safe to say I could not have done the work without this tool.

Hey Lenny, I have some insight for you regarding this tool. I used it the other day to switch out Glock factory sights for Tru-Glows. It took an hour. Tru-Glow makes their sights perfect and easy to operate with, thanks! This tool is pretty inexpensive as is and I believe it could be much better for a few dollars more. 1-Make user exchangeable frame rails inserts for each pistol type that can be screwed on and off by the user. 2-Lose the Wing Nut and exchange for a Knob type handle. Common wrenches will be easier to use. Wing Nut gets in the way. 3-Make the entire unit a little wider and longer for the guys that don't have a vise or ability to clamp it down somewhere. So it can be hand held while exchanging sites. (You can then make those peep holes a little larger for humans.) I had some of that sticky back furniture felt that raised the slide up just enough to reach the pusher properly and stuck some to where the slide is being held in place also. The tool works as is. However it appears that with a little extra that's probably minimal cost, will make it much better. I see some guys don't think it's worth the money. I do. After showing the new sights around, I already have 2 asking me to change their sights at $40 each plus the sights cost. Thanks!

I have 2 vises, but that doesn't help when I carry it to the range which I do when I have installed new sights with only a course adjustment with the laser. Great point.

I can’t even get my rear sight to move to adjust the windage. My pistol hits left and my rear sight came from the factory off to the left. I need a pusher just to move it. Granted I only loosened the Allen set screw and tapped the sight with a plastic screw driver handle. I didn’t want to gouge or scratch my 1911 up like some Neanderthal 😂. Thanks for the video…. Now I’m aware of what I need and how to use it.

So is eyeballing the only way to install new fixed sights? I just bought a new Glock 17 Gen 4 and I had night sights installed while I was waiting for my background check and now that I look at the rear sight it looks more to the left instead of being centered. The front sight looks good gut I can’t find any ammo to go to the range to see how it shoots.

I returned the tool from the store glockstore on Amazon. I also filed a claim about a faulty product and they have since taken down the tool. It is a piece of junk. For thirty dollars more buy the true glo sight tool on amazon. It is even better than the original glock tool and it is cheaper. If you need any more specifics send me a pm.

Unfortunately this is only for removing sights and not installing them on glocks as the one side with the slanted edge cannot be switched.
@matthewaware11 жыл бұрын
Actually you can remove the sight pusher by simply removing the nut on the drive bolt and then removing and flipping the pusher.
@MrSatanPlays11 жыл бұрын
Matthew Ware I'm not a weak person in the least, and I've tried removing that nut several times before. It will not come off. It's a lock nut. It will not come off. I know I'm turning it in the right direction. It will not come off.
@matthewaware11 жыл бұрын
You might try shooting them an email then because mine came right off and went right back on. Maybe you but got cross threaded somehow. It wouldn't be that great of a tool if it couldn't reinstall the sights no matter how cheap it is.
@totophandhamaly994411 жыл бұрын
You dont even have to take your pusher apart or anything like that,just insert the slide into the tool from the other side.
@walterbabb459411 жыл бұрын
Sight Pusher is not worth the money. The blocks for the handgun I have do not fit. The hole on the moveable block is mis-drilled on the XDM blocks I added. It does work fine on 1911 or probably straight mounted slides. Too late for me to return the tool. Caveat Emptor. This thing has potential but they more stringent QA. I can make better blocks if I decide to keep going.

This tool is not a good quality item, and there is a very good chance that you could ruin your sights, and potentially your firearm. The product idea is sound, and the general design is decent, but the execution and the failure to focus on small details causes this tool to be a failure. All of that could also end up with you being e owner of a damaged firearm and/or parts. I am happy to provide details to those that ask.

This thing is garbage. If your slide is not lined up *perfectly*, the pusher blade will mar your sight. The problem is, lining up the slide perfectly with the clunky piece of junk is next to impossible. Nothing to compensate for slides of varying heights, so hope you only have one gun to use it on, and your gun happens to fit. I like how he operated the tool incorrectly. That was fun to see. Do yourself a favor and skip this piece of trash.

just buy a 1 inch C-clamp. max $2. use cardboard to protect.
@Polotexas8811 жыл бұрын
But unlike a real sight tool, it can not put a rear sight back on. There is not enough clearance, just spend the extra money and buy a real tool.
