The arca plate is brilliant. It seems more and more we're heading to that attachment and I'm all here for it. I'm curious how it will feel for the hood placement and zoom ring for me, personally. But sounds like they've thought of it with the natural flare of the ring. Can't wait for Canon to open up their RF mount and start allowing some of these 3rd party manufacturers to build. It'll really be useful.

It is unfortunately heavier than the corresponding lenses from Sony and Tamron, but that does not make it a worse lens for all of us, but just for me it matters, so not a lens I would consider. Finally, thanks for another great video!

This might sound weird, but I wanted this lens like 2+ years ago. I've always been partial to Sigma lenses. 90-95% of the performance at usually 60% of the cost. But since they didn't have a 70-200 F2.8 I decided to switch over to the G Master II lenses from Sony. I started with the 24-70mm and now I'm about to buy the Sony 70-200mm F2.8 GM II lens. For muscle memory reasons I didn't want to switch back and forth because I'd read they rotated their zoom rings in the opposite direction as everyone else did. Also their ergonomics seem a little outdated now. But for the price you can't beat the image quality.

The position of the zoom ring and the tripod collar are real breakers for me. I’m not sure what Sigma was thinking but …. No thanks.

The position felt a bit strange at first. But I didn't mind it once I got used to it.

I recently bought the brand new Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 DG DN OS | Sport Sony FE mount, but unfortunately it keeps making relatively audible noises when it is connected to the camera and the camera is on. The noise is comparable to when an external hard drive is connected to a laptop and you click through the files. In other words, like when an external hard drive is running. The noises are similar. If I turn off the image stabilisation switch on the lens, the noise is just the same. Even if I don't press the camera's shutter release button halfway, the noises are audible. They are permanently audible, regardless of whether I am taking photos. Can someone please give me some feedback as to whether this is normal with this lens. I would hate to have bought a defective lens for so much money. Many thanks in advance.

I also have the 70-200mm and it does make the sound you are speaking of. I noticed the sound when I have left the camera on, reviewing some shots, and the lens seems it went into sleep mode and I need to hold the shutter at least half way and then it comes back to life.

@@danielmihaylov5525 Probably for the same reason. Sigma usually has their Sony samples out first to reviewers before other mounts.
