Most of his music is timeless like specifically this whole album. As valid today and as it was 1987. Guy was one of a kind. Miss him dearly.

This period. This period. This period. The music. His look. He just became soooooo mature. I swear when anyone talks about this album I get choked up. Because he just put a album out that they said naw too. If u heard the crystal ball whole album. I get it. 2 bad albums and flop movie with I love. But the chances were low. Go look at Nelson's career you'll see whenever his back is against the wall. He shuts em up everytime.

Funny to hear those people talk about Prince being on the down curve. If he were like others, he would have still been pushing Purple Rain in 1987. He wasn't trying to sell the most records. He was CREATING! He was an artist, FIRST.

Incredibly well done again. It’s like you use all this material to create new art in the form of these really cool very unique documentaries! Additional notes, theories, ideas spring to my mind first sorry for dominating the chat I can’t help it I get triggered! in one of the sections prince is saying or stated that I’m paraphrasing that he could not work in a negative environment where he would wake up angry every morning. Lord do I know that feeling not only as an artist but just in some other areas. Who hasn’t been there right? So even if prince was the genius artist and performer he says things that we can relate to in our lives and that’s the gem the pearl . As an artist they were trying to suppress his voice however again I repeat it in the process processor clever to make a positive out of a negative that he cut down the crystal ball three album and picked in sequence the album so well that he removed the revolution. I think if you really listen and observe closely this album in. It’s so great because it cut that out he reclaimed himself his name only now skipped just a year or two ago with the sign of the Times SuperDeluxe and they made it all about the revolution. Some people have stated they want to leave a legacy for the children in other words residuals let’s be real about it. And they are engineers even self anointed scholars that are more than happy to back up that. So then what happened after sign of times which includes the black album?? He transitioned out of a negative transcendent over to the positive for a new start what’s symbolized that think about this consider this: what symbolized it was the recording studio. And could have Sheena Easton, symbolized an outsider that people either in management or who were waiting around for their albums to be completed and released and their songs taken away and given to Sheena including studio staff workers and engineers had a problem with her prince brought her in and created a hit with her? Sheena as we can see here seems to be not very much appreciated with the insinuations or statements that any collaboration between her and The Prince was “” staged. If we observe a pattern of Prince cleverly getting back at those naysayers who sang selections creative directions lyrics etc. who’s to say he didn’t do it with Sheena Easton as well they were both very close friends.

Highly intelligent young man, what I can’t understand about his death is people are always around him so how come on that night of the incident it seems as if he was alone! When they re-en-act it , they showed him closing down his system in his studio then walking away through the hall way entering the elevator then showed him into the elevator even holding on to the rail in the elevator then he crouched down ward. My question is was he alone? The doctor’s son was on his way to his home because his Father couldn’t make it, what I don’t understand who called 911? According to what was said he died 6 hrs before because rigor mortis set in by the time the emergency crew found him (sad). Even tho it has been many yrs. it felt like yesterday to me, I was working when this happened so I didn’t get to focus on the situation, now that I am retired I have all the time to do so. Such talented young man, Prince u are missed R.I.P. with ur baby boy

I thought Prince and Sheena Easton were good friends...I didn't think of their association as 'staged.' Anytime the two of them worked together -- the results were good. The instrumental track of 'SugarWalls,' I believe, is one of His COLDEST CREATIONS, EVER!!!! NO ONE ON EARTH.....CAN BEAT THAT TRACK. Seriously. Sheena has the ability to hit the high notes in the song 'Eternity' that were written for it. Chaka Khan did good with HER VERSION, as well. P.s. Play the 'Red Mix' for yourself. U'll c.

What in the world did Cat say? It sounds like her words got chopped up..If somebody else can make out what she said..I'm sure Sinnik knows exactly the part I'm talking about..At 34:11 when Cat says "Sign of the Times, Prince had a crush on me.. But I moved" and what?..What the fuck she said after that is cut up for some reason..I know Cat isn't the most smoothest sounding woman..She sounds as rough as she looks..It's right before 34:19 when she said "We're at a club at the beginning of the movie with this Asian girl..That was his girlfriend at the time.."..Okay?..lol And what did THAT have to do with anything?..Besides the fact that Cat didn't like it, that's random as hell..lol

I think Prince Sign O The Times album was one of his best projects. After observing many large artists I've noticed that a lot them who fall back are those who don't change and go with the flow. In other words always stay on top of the game no matter if it makes sense or not. Otherwise your music will not be hitting anymore. At the same time don't go over the top with it.

I'm watching this again, because all your videos are so, so rich and full of amazing content! But as you know, I don't hold back. Therefore... No, no, no Dream Factory was cancelled and abandoned, period. Clearly. Because what Prince & The Melvoins were doing was just not cutting it. He kept certain songs and made them, or really TOOK THEM BACK and did what HE wanted. You can HEAR IT. Rogers there may have been there but that does NOT guarantee it's an accurate gospel of what happened, like some biblical documentation. Prince created a BETTER band. Prince had already been and probably even MORE SO once he found a new sonic, thematic, production, creative direction, OUT of ANYTHING to do with The Revolution. He gave them a few credits and used a couple of DF songs, sure, however it was his productions, his songwriting, his VISION. The 1987 Whittier Narrows earthquake happened AFTER the recollections THE MELVOINS are telling. THAT was the ONLY significant major earthquake of Los Angeles. Also ask yourself this, why would he go take everyone or move back to MPLS IF the world was coming, to an end? THE WORLD. What the Melvoins including some of these weird ENGINEERS are doing are painting Prince as a fearful fragile weak person. Far from it. There's this purple politics thing going on between S. Rogers and THE MELVOINS and now even self appointed "Prince scholars". Prince fans have taken what Susan Rogers, who likes to present herself as some kind of 'white savior', as gospel, as the TRUTH. In MY view, that's a wrong path to take. Listen to Prince. And I'm very glad Sinnik22 that you brought up DEVIN, that was probably a more deeper relationship going back to the Purple Rain era, who knew! But if you were to take what the purple politics say as THE story, well, it bring up questions doesn't it. CAROL DAVIS. First, it's not the best song on SOTT so came down lady. Secondly, it wreaks of hypocrisy, because Carol describes what the LEFT actually does to BIPOCS. And you know... Prince was from a different upbringing, which incidentally S. Rogers, somehow WAS THER alongside a kid Prince, Skipper... Prince once he came to LA etc. he stumbled into people who were clearly liberal, left leaning, ATHEISTS and Carole, now that Prince is dead, spews all these put downs and conflicts she had with Prince rather than RESPECTING his views. Prince was all about bringing all together but forces around him were just wanting to tear that away from it. No wonder he made his own Paisley Park Studios. Then Carole, LIKE SUSANNAH and THE MELVOINS, paint Prince as an unsophisticated, immature, narrow minded, dumb, childish, 'high on the spectrum' (said by Melvoin #2) ... rejecting evolution, and by extension anti-science, etc. etc. etc. It's astounding honestly. Most likely, okay, most likely Prince resisted the attempts at members of the power culture trying to 'tame' him. It's all rather disgusting. Notice that Cat, most of his Black American band members don't do this, nor express this view. Former girlfriends of color also. Also, It seemed many of the left political persuasion have strong issues with Prince AND his legacy, so much so that even Housequake dot com recently posted a completely innacruate 'woke-ified' re-interpretation of Camille. But going BACK to that time SUNSET SOUND, there its clear TO ME, that Prince met with a lot of anti-conservative, anti-religious views. Clearly Prince did two things consistently, draw inspiration and tell his life, through his music and secondly, Prince he wasn't perfect, because he was a pure and pure artist and did not let anything outside pick his colors, in this period, Peach & Black.

I think a lot of this is spot on. For me though, my goal with the series is to know what was happening. I’m not trying to push any agenda but truth. For me truth is the misguided feeling of a collaborator in real time and the accurate depiction of a moment by a 1st hand witness. All of it is showing me his stresses, his frustrations, his inspiration etc. as always Great insights Modernaire! Wish you would go thru and critique every video with the same vigor.

@@Sinnik22 Yeah I got a little political but so did prince in a very sneaky way. I’ve been a fan since the mid-80s and I’ve seen them live countless of times and I have several other great experiences anyways and all this time I think we both share and I hope other fans will also do the same the goal of making sure princes legacy is kept honest truthful and or made truthful. Another fan expressed a similar idea and perhaps you feel the same way you have thought the same thing that prince was too busy creating his art moving forward to address any of the stories or narratives that were being revealed when he was alive he couldn’t keep up north did he have an interest in dedicating the time to do it. So perhaps perhaps it’s us then I’ll have to take the information and with whatever we are presented question the narrative that some are pushing foreigners and it happens in all areas including offering you views and conclusions even though some of it may be theoretical to offer different perspectives to assure that princess legacy is kept accurate and not changed for political reasons. anyways I’m using voice to text I’ll read it closer later but I appreciate your reply and I will offer my viewpoint which sometimes can be harsh that’s why I have that avatar going I hope you understand thanks again and please continue what I think is a great service balance with an artistic approach that’s very very unique and that I appreciate and I’m sure many other prince fans I appreciate it and your work as well!
