Okay, I was listening to you speculate about the nature of the time loop and how confusing it is, the oddity where it seems like there was a timeline where Elster, Beo, and the vent ARAR worked together, but only the ARAR (and ADLR's notes) remember this, and I feel like something just clicked in my head. What if it's not a strict timeloop, but Ariane rebuilding the same dream over and over. The real kicker is, she can only rebuild what she can *see*, and bioresonance only allows her to see through technology. In other words, the cameras. She becomes the Red Eye of Rotfront, the inescapable panopticon. If you exist in her field of view, you're forcibly twisted to conform to the dream, just like the Eusan Nation forcibly twists its citizens to conform to its ideals. But if she *can't* see you - if hide yourself away in the vents, for example, or put a journal inside an eldritch puzzle box - you escape the loop. You keep your memories, your journal remains. That means the LSTR we play in Sierpinski really was LSTR 2301, and really was brought in by ADLR to survey the mines. ADLR's notes are real, they're from the original timeline, and the ARAR really did recognise you. But Ariane *doesn't need that LSTR*, so Ariane moulds her into Elster 512, Ariane's Elster, the Elster who would stop at nothing to find the woman she loves and keep her promise. LSTR 2301 forgets her life on Sierpinski, before the dream began and the signal infected everything there, and so does everyone else caught in the dream. And that, then, would be the meaning of the Artifact ending. The artifact at the centre of the six graves is a new dream, a new time loop. One where Ariane and Elster are reunited in the Penrose, never succumbing to sickness or hunger, never dying, dancing forever and ever, as they fly beneath Ariane's Red Eye, no longer a metaphor.

I would personally agree with the aspect of your theory of Arianne warping others through her perception. I'm sure I read about the king in yellow is that he is able to perform *you* better than you are ale to do yourself, through its own perception (lense] of you. Thus we become a performer in its production.

I would just like to mention on your general view regarding "correlation is causation". Instead of this definition, I would actually look at it by the proposal that "Synchronicity" provides about all these "correlations", because this seems to be the actual intentional definition used, considering that this is the name of the first layer. And this would fit better with the meaning that this apparent repetitive duality of the Empress-the revolutionary, Lilith-Alina, Ariane-Elster, etc. may have.
