I really don’t think this set up should be compared to a Patriot, yes similar but that’s it.(think Jayco vs Bruder)I’ve always wanted a Patriot but if I stayed home saving for one I’d never get out there to enjoy this style of camping. The Patriot is the ultimate camper as is the Queensland built Offtrax ,they certainly have their place and price, but in my opinion the reason this is such a great trailer is that’s it is so modifiable and signature has come along way with options and quality since Stefan bought his. Not to say they dont have there problems anything mechanical you buy does small or big. Everyone has their own different needs and peeves but this trailer can be modified easily to suit. Yes I own a Deluxe 2 (MY21) I’ve modified and use mine very differently to Stefan to suit my family and needs ie, anaconda RTT, intergrated hot water system, shower arm from Kimberly to Cape, 75l Dometic fridge/freezer, 23Zero 270 awning, lithium batteries and UHF and the list can go on. I very much wanted a Patriot and entered every giveaway(obviously never won)but I wanted to go camping with my family before they all grew up and found their own set ups so thank you Signature Trailers. I try and buy Australian where I can but let’s be honest just about everything is made or comes from overseas. Life is very short ,get out there and enjoy people, we have a beautiful country with amazing freedoms.

Loved the video. Great to see that you don’t have to contribute to Patriot‘s off road racing hobby to get a decent off road trailer. The one thing that I took from this entire video? The Adventureridge clear top canvas bag (from Aldi) that you had your first aid kit in. I have a fine collection of the Aldi canvas bags myself!

Thanks, Stefan. Great alternative to the big guns of camping trailers. Some nice ideas which would be perfect for me and the boys, however the wife needs a tad more...lol. For the top, maybe some watertight boxes up there. It would save on having a tarp, just a thought.

The trailer looks fantastic especially the price well done, those patriot trailers and drifter trailers just like you mentioned are way over priced. You can get a dedicated off-road small caravan for that price with little setting up with all the amenities and way more luxurious...

Great review Stefan. We are looking forward to your cage cover. We agree about the ToyTuff branding on the cage. A cover will certainly help that 😁. Our next job is the electrics, so we will be reviewing your electrics episode. The front bar hose - may I know the brand name please? I really like that idea. Thank you, for your informative channel.

I don’t understand these trailers. All of that money and there’s still no accomodation. We had an old Trak Shak trailer while the 5 kids were growing up. That was an awesome trailer. Quick pack up and set up, would sleep everyone. We dragged that all over the country for many years.

What do you think, have I succeeded with my goal? Could this be a way cheaper alternative to a Patriot with a similar end-user case and functionality? Let me know in the comments below. COST: I would think at RRP the extras and labour cost around 10k, however, this could be done a fair bit cheaper if you go with a lower spec electrical set-up and no 1600w MultiPlus Inverter and high discharge current LiFePo3.

I think it was a success, $20k for a camper was exactly my budget also .. any more and you would want to be using it very often or sitting in a hybrid style off road caravan. With the Supapeg gear, Dobinson shocks, Kings springs, Australian assembly and the upgraded Auto Electrics .. plently of coin was spent here in Australia so I think you got excellent value, while supporting several local companies 👍

@@AlloffroadAu The issue I have with this trailer (and similar) is if you were to put an RTT on, where does all the gear that is on the roof now go? Thanks Stefan for the awesome video, I can relate to your circumstances with two kids and limited space in the vehicle, so this video is extremely helpful. Great points about the investment for a few trips a year, hard to justify the cost of almost another vehicle sitting in the driveway most of the time! Electrical is often very specific to our own use case, might be nice to have this optional! Also great to see the Bushman fits, as I have this as well and would also probably get another due to its low current draw & basket design. Do you use a Weber at all, just wondering if there was a space for he small one? Hopefully you can do another review in 2023 to let us know how it's going, especially with regards to family life with it, and of course how you get on with the top cage.

Hi Stefan, thanks for your videos. Just wondering if you had to pay for everything, what is the cost of your trailer including fridge, complete battery set up with inverter auto electrician etc. and awnings? Also, is the whole chassis hot dipped galvanised or just the draw bar? That hitch does look a little under whelming.

the full cost would be around 10k extra but could be done quite a bit cheaper without a big inverter and less capable battery set up. @AlloffroadAu
@AlloffroadAu Жыл бұрын
Freebies? there are no freebies mate it means installing and many, many hours of testing, filming and then providing my feedback so it's only free if your time is worthless for you. I have seen a few "Australian Made" Campers with no better electrics. Electrics seem to be the last on the list for most manufacturers and if you build for a 3rd of the cost of a Patriot you need to save somewhere. Supposedly Signature have improved the electrical set-up since.
