It's such a beautiful looking guitar, man. I had the chance to play your first Epiphone LP 7string signature, and it has been my favorite 7 string that I've played so far. Lee: is it a Danny Devito signature model? Rob: It's a John Mayer Silver Sky, with a slightly dead D-string. The man who built this particular guitar is of Dutch/Irish heritage, and he had eaten a sausage egg McMuffin with no cheese for breakfast the morning before he started building this.

you should introduce this as feature at Andertons store. Blindfold shopping. Have special room, have customers pay small fee for the service and bring them 10 guitars in their budget to blindfold test them. And customer without prejudice leaves with best instrument he felt and heard. :D

Haha,... great of you to mention Philip Sayce! He is from right here in my neck of the woods in southern, Ontario, Canada. I have seen him live in some small clubs in Toronto and Barrie. James Russo what's wild is that Holcomb has like the flattest fretboard on the planet lol so if he's not familiar with the guitar I'm a little surprised he so quickly thought it felt like a PRS. Slightly longer scale length I believe and different neck profile than my PRS S2. I love the Holcomb though, killer value.

@@sakimiyu4169 among the hundreds of guitars he has and had, the V was a japanese copy with a Gibson truss rod cover, than he had a Jackson meant to be a signature before ESPs, a couple of Gibson Explorers, than the infamous ESP MX250 (eet fuk, 1st official signature) and other white and black ones. After those he had Les Paul shaped ESP sig, two Flying V ESPs, the thread plate Explorers and the deer skull one and a couple of Ken Lawrence Explorers. And this goes on till the latest ones, with the Grynch in the middle: ESP Trucksters, the Iron Crosses (after the Gibson one) the Snakebytes and the Vultures.

I think a super cool blindfold comparison would be to take a whole bunch of Stratocasters and other s types and see if they can pick out the Silver Sky from them. Everything from Squiers to custom shops and beyond maybe to make it tricky. Rob was able to tell a PRS neck pretty quick so maybe Lee and good ol' Danish Pete can do the challenge? I think that would be really cool!
