I worked at the Washburn custom shop in Chicago a few decades ago and we made a few N2's for Nuno Bettencourt. We made a few Slimebags and a Dimebolts for Dimebag Darrell too, red rockers for Sammy Hagar and then some.. We also made a V'd double neck for MAB, and since he lived on the far south side of town, he came in quite a few times to check on the progress. What a great guy. When we called and told him it will be done tomorrow, he showed up not 2 hours later all excited, and wanted to play it, but it wasn't setup yet. The action was way high on one neck and not much better on the other, and the intonation was way off too. I told him to give me an hour to set it up, but no, he insisted on playing it: Mind blown! 🤯 He shredded the F out of it as if it was just right! Then he sat by my side while I set it up and we told each other stories of weird and eccentric people we encountered in life! 😁

The Dan Jacobs Kiesel you looked at was a very limited spec offered during the launch of the sig. It's supposed to look more like meat packing paper covered in blood - he used his hands to apply the finish. I don't expect that to make you love the guitar, but I think it's cool to have a signature guitar where the artist themselves had a personal touch. The usual Kiesel spec can be ordered with a proper blood splatter finish.

They'd not infrequently wind up in bankruptcy court. That said, nice try but it's a classic case of commingling and probably won't get discharged through bankruptcy. A tropical fish tank is usually okay. But charging the corporate card for your trophy guitar isn't. Also, the credit card company will weigh in. Buying personal items with a corporate card is a violation of the cardmember agreement. So Donny Dentist is likely going to be personally liable for the $11,000. Which won't be fun to pay off, what with him having to change his name to Divorced Donny Dentist.

Rick Beato did not invent music, and there is no key of... B for Beato , just the regular key of B , even you two know that. He's an incredibly accomplished musician and educator , and he absolutely loves music , that's the thing that comes over strongest. If you listen to him talking about his favourite rock bands like Boston or Peter Frampton you can see his love of the music plus his encyclopedic knowledge. He's also a great guitar player. Have a try at playing the solos from Kid Charlemagne or Don't Take Me Alive, Rick is really , really good at those two. His channel is so popular because of those things , the experience, the knowledge , and the love of music. You will also notice how many top flight guitarists are happy to come on his show and talk about their playing and music , and guitars in general. And he does it with absolutely zero sneering or personal abuse . Ever. You don't have to be like this.

He is knowledgeable, his videos are usually very educational, he's a good guitar player and musician with a fair amount of experience and insight into the business, so why are so many people bashing him recently? He must be doing some things right, otherwise he wouldn't have a successful YT channel nor a signature Gibson guitar! Sounds like jealousy to me! Don't watch his videos if you don't like him, but this constant bashing is just juvenile and silly!

The best Schecter I've ever played was the Chris Poland Poltergeist signature. Sucks that he dropped Schecter almost immediately and it was only produced for 1yr...a really sweet looking and sounding axe... for a Schecter

There's a 13 or 14 year old thai female street musician called "Queen on the street" who plays an orianthi signature regularly in downtown Phuket. Talented and badass

You mentioned the PRS one breaking or scratching. While I don't own a super expensive PRS and I assumed the same thing, they're supposed to be super durable and almost impossible to scratch and I haven't seen a scratched PRS guitar so far.

You definitely get buckle rash and pick scratches on the PRS finishes. It's a bit harder to get deep scratches though. (But they do chip if you bang them on the coffee table! From experience.)

KDH is famous for digging deep into sources and researching topics for weeks or months for his journalistic reporting. I, too, have mined the depths for some very specific information about KDH himself. After extensive exploration, fact-finding, and analysis, I can bring you breaking news on a very closely-guarded bit of secret personal information about KDH….. He likes Kahlers.

My store had the Orianthi PRS, I played it, I'd put it in E tier tbh. Not because of the price, but because it doesn't feel any different than any other PRS
@mikeomatic9905 Жыл бұрын
Yeah it's spec'd no differently than any other Custom 24 AFAICT. Just the fancy finish and inlays. And the exclusivity.

@@mikeomatic9905 Every PRS feels the exact same to me, which is good for consistency, but I hate it 😅
