Not just that, but it's an S-type. Hetfield plays single cuts, explorers and flying Vs, so for a signature guitar it sure as hell would never be an S-type. Come to think of it I don't think I've ever even seen him play an S-type.

Idea for a challenge - affordable pedal board (Mooer, tonecity) Vs average board (TC, Boss) Vs boutique/high end... typical line up, each has blue driver, delay etc. Someone else controls the pedals and person behind a screen puts them in order of total price. Would love to see if you guys can hear the difference without seeing the pedals l, which one's really give it away.

The next blindfold challenge should be on tonewoods. Spec out 3 or 4 Fender Custom Shop guitars exactly the same, same pickups, necks, etc, but with different body woods, and see if Rob can tell the difference and accurately guess them. Settle the tonewood debate once and for all.

Normally love these videos but Lee practically gave Rob all the answers (allowing him to touch the body etc) especially with his super human senses. Also would of preferred more emphasis on what he though about each guitar. I don’t think the tone helped though, superstrats into essentially a blues rig

Yes, but only on the last 4 frets, which the PIA also has. You can just see the different between the two types on the camera.

I'm genuinely surprised he guessed James Hetfield. James always uses Explorer shapes (Snakebyte), V-Style (Vulture), both with the tuners on top, or his Les Paul style Iron Cross/Truckster. Every Kirk signature (except for his Spider) has had that S Type body with the reverse headstock. (Yes, I'm a huge Metallica fan lol)
