What do you think? Would you prefer this over a conventional CIC? Matthew

@@HearingTrackerfirst of all, Huge difference in “Noisy environment“ mode, I think thats the new technology they have presented. Its like really working, I was skeptical when switching, but it is truly amazing. 2. Battery life, I have T IX model with bigger battery, use it whole day with heavy streaming and at the end of the day I have 60% remaining. 3. Overall hearing and speech recognition improved as well, I can’t tell how much better, but I can tell I am not asking to repeat so often as I used to. P.S. I have absolutely the same configuration and settings as in 7AX, so i can compare side by side.

I have been wearing the Signia Silk X (battery version) since June (my first hearing aid). This week, my audiologist upgraded me to the Silk IX. I have only had it for less than a week, so I don't know how much different they will perform vs the old battery version. So far, they are at least marginally better. I do like the rechargeable feature. In general, these hearing aids are virtually invisible in my ears and so comfortable that I can't feel them. I LOVE the ability to change programs and volume from my Android app. Before I got the original Signia Silk X Hearing Aids I tried the Eargo 7's which I thought were GOOD. I would consider the Signia Silk IX GREAT! So far, they are at least marginally better. UPDATE: For some reason, they made the removal string longer in this model, so they stick out of my ear and are very noticeable now. Kinda defeats the purpose of an "invisible" hearing aid! No, you can't see the hearing aid, but you have obvious alien antennas sticking out of your ears! That is disappointing.

@michaelduchene6656 Жыл бұрын
@@jeffshamus1914 Yep... I thought the IX removal strings looked loner than the X (and nX) removal string. It would be understandable (although equally as cosmetically unappealing) **IF** they had embedded a Bluetooth antenna in the removal string.

Excellent video review Matthew. I wear Phonak RIC P90s but would like to switch to these new CIC Silk IXs, especially as the slim case holds a charge (like my Apple AirPod Pros). I like the form factor but I will miss having Bluetooth to stream calls and listen to music/podcasts. Do you think with these in my ears, there will be enough space to comfortably wear a pair of Apple AirPods Pros as well for calls and streaming? If so, would I be able to hear the AirPods' output enhanced for my ears through the hearing aids? Finally, as I have near single sided deafness, would this set up still work if I had the bi-cross version of these Silks? Thank you for everything you do, keep up the great work 🙌

Have they ever tried to design an aide that is in the shape of an earring? Clip on maybe or...? It could use the same string (?) as the over the ear aide. It would be less of a vanity issue than behind the ear.

Does the wireless connectivity work any better, or any more consistently, than the 5nX (worn previously) or 5X (worn currently)?Successfully connecting to the (Android) smartphone app via inaudible high frequency signal works MAYBE a third of the time; all the other times nothing at all happens. There is no "pattern" in this success or failure and this is also the case if using the pocket remote. (Only one of these methods can be used at a time and re-pairing must be done to "switch" methods). Rebooting the phone, rebooting the hearing aids and even having the audiologist re-pair the aids doesn't help. Other than this issue I am "relatively" happy with these devices and would consider a CIC Signia IX device when the time comes. I don't need Bluetooth (it wasn't "original equipment" when I was born :-)) and I am far too active, nor am I interested in, RIC style devices.
