She didn't believe in god but she still asked him for a sign. ps/edit: I actually had an experience very similar to hers: I was playing a word game (scrabble, maybe?) one Weds night w/ my family and the word I wanted was on the tip of my tongue but I just couldn't think of it. I asked the christian god for the answer AND.....nothing. The next day, I thought to myself that since it had been a Weds., I should have asked Odin for the answer and since it was the next day, I appologized to Odin through Thor. Later that 2nd day, I was moving some books (that I had no real reason to move) and I dropped a dictionary that just happened to fall open right to the page with the word I had needed. So if the christian god is real by her account, then so too must the Viking Gods be...and they are better at solving word problems.

Here is a little science that I will add into this; bear in mind that I read this in a entomology journal. The usual migration for the monarch butterfly is from the Americas to the central mountains of Mexico. This used to occur anytime from July to October, the stragglers would end up getting there late, the first half of November. Climate change has altered the timeline on this, they are generally leaving later and arriving in Mexico later, mid to late november. Then they drink a lot of tequilla and boink. Today is October 10 and I saw a group of about 50-100 monarchs in a swarm heading south, but not in any hurry. Perhaps they just hadn't packed yet, but its Octoberand usually, by now, most of them have already begun the migration. I could be wrong, but I think I saw a "Hell's Butterflies" jacket on one of them and he was chugging Jack Daniels, screaming "We don't need no stinking migration!"

At who/what was she mad? Methinks it was that which she claims she didn't believe. I once experienced what I thought was a "religious" experience that hit me like an on switch. I had come to a very personal understanding of what God is and BOOM! I was walking around full of Love and a very simple grasp of God. I, to my perception, was literally glowing. I believe it was very likely that my eyes were actually seeing a glow created by my state of mind (hindsight). After three weeks of wandering around the country in a complete state of crazy, experiencing every delusion you might ever want to, not sleeping one bit, I found myself in the mental ward. It took a straight jacket to finally get me to see it was me. Thank God for straight jackets! The Mind is an incredibly powerful tool and, if you're not careful, your dream state will invade your wide awake state. The beauty of it all, for me is, I still believe that God is Love. And that to me is not "supernatural".
