I think they best way is just slowly start distancing yourself from them. Letting them know you're trying to focus on you and making some positive changes in your world.

Sometimes people don't know how their reactions make you feel especially in middle school. Talk to your friends and let her know. Also, make sure you give her the same response to her cool stories as you would want her to give yours :)

Take baby steps. Start doing your own thing and start communicating less with them. Let them know you want to focus on you more and it's nothing personal. Still show them love.

I know about the family member one. My Aunty is 20 years older than me and she wanted to see me everyday and if I wasn't around her she would ring me throughout the day morning till midnight loool. I didn't phone her for a week then she decides to insult me on Facebook and block all social media. I didn't really care because she was toxic anyway. We haven't spoken in almost 4 years since loool.

I know first hand how it is not to speak to a family member and I regret it. Unforgiveness and separation in a family only brings more hurt and less blessings. Since she's your elder I would at least make sure she knows you love her and you forgive her but just can't be around her 24/7. You don't want to have regrets or miss out on this years with your aunt. Time goes by so fast I bet those 4 years flew by.

This are all type people I have cuted off in men life 😀 but I have evil siblings and now they are the slaves influence Master of my old cage of anyone attached or associéted to me because hacking my entire life, but today I barely even have time for myself and my activities, today I can't even afford some women who have all bad influences around them and unconscience that each year spend with bad people is similar to 15years worthless time!!!! Now cutting off bad people it has give you more space and healthyness free self time to creating or being creative in your normal self life, good job on this!!!!

I had a friend that was the messenger and I had to cut her out of my life because she was always talking about her other friends and I don't get involved with gossip or slandering others. She was very toxic and I don't have no tolerance for stuff like that. My circle is getting smaller and I am happy with that.

Totally... I had to drop a family member recently. I tried to let it on her easily, but she didn't take it all too lightly and we had the worst fight over it, and she said that she never needed an annoying b*tch like me anyways and walked off. And not too long ago, she came crawling to me, pleading my to be her friend again. I told her no and she got mad and spread rumors about me and another family member of mine around school, after she did that, she declared us friends again. I'm trying to let her know that we're still not and will never ever be friends again, but she just can't take a hint, it's either her say or no say at all.

thank you for these tips. the friend I have is a "(GHOST)". when I call her she wouldn't pick up but when I am busy she shows up. people tell me she is sweet but honestly she's hurt me emotionally and I don't know if I'd want to be friends with her at all. And a true friend wouldn't ignore so much phone calls for days or weeks during a break or a weekend and then at school when you see them, they say "(oh,............, I was so busy doing homework and I couldn't pick up)"., and your just like what?

My best friend of 7 years has been dealing with a mental illness that sprang up in the last year and a half. I've been her diary and shoulder to cry on the whole time. First I'm sorry that your friend wasn't able or willing to be there for you like you were for her. I know that feeling and it sucks! But what helps me is reminding myself that people who are hurt, hurt others. And a lot of times we expect our love to reciprocated but people can't give you what they don't have. Some people just need time to be worked on and mature and if she's backing away maybe it's for the best. When I was 21 I remember a lot of my friends slowly started to fade out my life and I was like WTH but then I remembered I asked God to make me better and take away anyone who wasn't good for me... You never know this may be a blessing.

I think you can start by praying for her and the situation. When you get on a plane they say in case of an air crash put your oxygen mask on FIRST before you help anyone else. You can't help someone at the risk of your own sanity and peace. You have to give that problem to God and let Him work it out. Doesn't mean you don't love someone

Mia I think you have to be brave enough to stand alone. Would you rather be around "friends" but always feeling insecure about their intentions or at peace by yourself knowing God always has your back if no-one else does? Don't be afraid to be your own friend and love yourself enough to break way from ppl who don't love you back. There will be better friends to come.

My advice would be to ask God to give you the strength and courage to remove those people and that those who aren't right in your life will fade out. You always have God to talk to as cliche as that sounds. No one in my life has been there for me more than Him. Trying talking to God like you would your closest friend.
