I actually don’t mind a mix I’m mastering to have a little less bass and too much vocal (sometimes) then I can gain bass and the vocal doesn’t get lost….i would almost have this be the preferred mix to receive

Yeah, that's totally true! This was mostly aimed towards mix engineers to help them get the "perfect" mix before mastering because I know as a mix engineer myself I love to know what the master engineers thoughts are! Thank you!
