The clone question is interesting because a lot of people assume it's like having a twin where you're both the same age and at the same life experience.... Which doesn't work. If I was cloned I would end up raising him as my son and give him all of the psychological insights he needs to maximize his existence to a potential far greater than the previous version.

This is literally me! Found out thanks to a blood type test that came back with 'odd' results. A trip to the state university medical lab later and I finally have an answer as to why my eyes regularly change colors (they rotate between 3 main colors). I can't really donate organs/blood (except to someone who is a universal receiver (AB+)), but if I ever need a kidney I'm one of the few people whos body is actually pretty used to having multiple strands of DNA and blood types just floating around inside.

Xenotransplantation is a brilliant field and I wish all the scientists working on it the best, my Grandad recently had a car accident due to a heart attack and needed surgery to replace one of the valves, thankfully he was given experimental treatment by getting a new valve from a pig delivered through a blood vein and into the heart. It saved his life and I'm extremely grateful for it, he is now able to go back to enjoying his life to the fullest, going on walks to sport birds and work on his garden with no worries.

Cloning myself would be such a moral dilemma, since a clone of me would also have free will attempting to force it to do MY work and live MY life for me would basically be slaver. Because Once that clone comes into existence they technically become a complete separate person from me with their own rights and anything that happens to them that doesn’t happen to me pushes them more towards the definition of “genetically identical twin” then a clone. And if I created them then technically I’m their mom so if they started as an infant then I’d treat them like my own child but if they came out as an exact copy of the age I am now then we’d have to have a long complicated discussion about how they wanted to be treated and defined as and how to intergrade them into society as an individual.

1) Microchimerism= Exchange of cells between mother & unborn child (may sometimes result in autoimmune diseases for those that have it) or in the case of artificial chimerism when a recipient gets a transplanted/transfused organ/cell/tissue where they absorb their donor's cells (whether the donor is human or an animal, in the case of an animal is called xenotransplantation, which has potential but can be problematic due to diseases in other species). 2) Twin Chimersim= Where two fraternal twins with an attached placenta are conceived but one embryo dies & the living twin absorbs some of the deceased embryo's cells (cells usually found in bloodstream), 3) Fusion/Tetragametic Chimerism= Same as twin chimerism EXCEPT the 2 zygotes fuse together into 1 embryo instead (an individual w/ this has tissues made up of one or more cells, which means they rarely may have heterochromia, different colored patches of skin, or have both male or female genitalia). 10% of population have natural chimersm & usually is an asymptomatic condition.

@forgottenzero8972 ай бұрын
while interesting in concept i highly doubt that our brain could handle two body's at the same time it would be like learning how to walk with boulders attached to your feet when your 2 but if lets say that the second body has a functioning brain and able to send some sort of signal to the other brain this could work like a prohormone communication but more then likely it would be more like you and the clone are two separate beings how ever because you have had identical brains so you and clone would make the same choices for at least a year so you would be a pseudo hive mind doing that period
@TamTroll2 ай бұрын
@@forgottenzero897 Yeah, you're very right. In order for this type of clone, something about my brain would need to fundamentally change for it to be able to manage two or more bodies. Perhaps each clone has it's own separate brain, but it's still one shared consciousness inhabiting all of them through the same ender-chest method as them all sharing organs. As a result, there's more space and processing power for the consciousness to expand and control everything. Like having one PC run off of multiple interconnected computer towers.
