As a youg person in the daring world most people are not looking for any long term relationship… Most boys dont have money, arent mature and cannot make good decisions in their own at this stage in development. If you dont want to get played make it very clear that you want a public relationship, something serious because if a guy seems interested in you but wont make it piblic he doesnt see you as a good long-term investment( yes, this sounds harsh but that is how us guys view dating - an investment). I've made plenty of friends just doing what I do. be polite to people, joke around, and don't be scared to talk to people first; not everyone will want to talk but it's okay, just move on. sit with people you don't know and strike a conversation about something you like, even if it's scary, if they're interested in the topic you know that they're someone you could get along with. try your best not to come off desperate and ask questions about the person you're talking to, as to engage them in the conversation. i know it's easier to say this than to actually do it, but if you break out of your comfort zone and let your true personality shine then you are sure to make friends. also, please remind yourself that friends aren't everything and that there will come a time where someone will fall into your life and you'll instantly connect with them.
