For me, the biggest sign was that i want her to be happy. If she's happy, I'm happy. Empathy, an emotional connection was "my" key. The girl lost interest in me, and we seperated. It hurt a lot, but when I saw her with another man happy, I felt surprisingly grateful that she is in good hands. As long as she's happy, I am too. Love should be selfless, but it's rare.

I went through all but one of these a few months ago. She ended up blocking me and having a girlfriend without telling me, and that wasn’t fun to go through. But eh, life happens.
