Fascinating to see how she works and to note that she will play different versions of her song according to place, circumstance but also how she feels at the time. That's a true musician. I love her music and her down-to-earth personality. Nothing pretentious. I saw her with her band live last year whilst working in Netherlands. The whole thing was tremendous and her voice and personality soared. I will watch her career with interest. She's super-talented and has a unique take on pop-music. Very interesting song-writer and performer.
@razrv3lc4 жыл бұрын
I was thinking the same thing. She actually has a clear grasp on music theory, which is more than most pop singers can say. I really would love for not just talent to make a comeback but actual learned skill as well.

A lot of people on the Norwegian coast were sigrid is from sound Irish and sometimes even English but Norway and Britain have such a shared history I mean English has some old Norse implemented into it as it is the the two countries have a shared history and also relation wise share an older and also many would say a closer bound then that shared between the USA and UK and due to the shared history Norwegians when speaking English can sound Irish and or English

Wow, that was a beautiful presentation of her song. It felt so personal and natural, just like if I was playing piano with my sister at home. Really charming. In general, Sigrids music and expression is so unique and special. It feels so light and joyful, but not in a shallow way. I'm glad I discovered her music recently.

She's an excellent teacher and while I don't know if she had formal lessons or was self taught, she seems to have a real grasp on music theory. If she wasn't a star she would've been a great piano teacher. Also, her music and considerable talent aside, she's also one of the most expressive and ebullient people I've seen, always happy and smiling. She reminds me a tiny bit of the American actress Elle Fanning who is also cute and upbeat and also has a perpetual smile on her face.

Sigrid is SUCH a joy and a breath of fresh air. I was feeling so stressed out and down in the dumps when I stumbled upon this lovely video, and one extremely insightful and unexpected piano lesson later, I am much more relaxed and leaving with a smile on my face. If she was my piano teacher, I would never have quit :D It’s really interesting to see her creative process though! And how so many chords would work and how it changes based off the setting and her mood. I can imagine that if I were her mum, I would be beaming the whole time with pride

"she / he is so underrated " That type of comment is so ridiculous . Underrated by WHO , certainly not by those that love her . If you think that, then you are playing into the hands of money and fame as a criteria for talent . If she made more money or were more famous would that make her more talented ? You meant it as a compliment but actually it's an insult . Just say why you think she is talented and that alone is a legitimate " rating " .

Not even sigrid knows how good and unique her music is compare to all the decades that pop music has been around . I was about twelve years old when rock and roll started with elvis, bill haley and the comets , little richard etc and have seen and heard it all. There have been some truly great and unique writers and performers over the years and sigrid is right up there with the best of them . Focus on where the music arises from inside and not the fame and adoration . The acceptance of adoration has been the ruin of many great souls throughout the ages . Your individuality is not the real you , the real you is what ones personal identity appears inside of , that is awake to itself .

Oddly, this sort of randomly popped up again as first on my 'suggested videos' feed; the night after seeing the full rock band version of Stangers live on stage. So, a sort of musical 'morning after' hair-of-the-dog moment! Just the acoustics, and reflections in the mirror-like piano, are a moment of Nordic mellow afrer seeing the Mayor of Aalesund commanding a stage last night ,,, Some things you are just glad to have been a witness to; and the emergance of this body of work, through Covid19 and beyond has been a joy. On stage Sigrid is also the queen of Dad-Dancing 😉 😂 This video brings home the work behind the performances, and the musicians skill of retuning the song to the needs of the moment, 🎉🎉🎉

@strawwberryyy4 жыл бұрын
honestly, having a "gorgeous face" is genetic and not a merit on her. would you still consider her amazing if you didn't find her attractive? putting it like that makes me feel like you're objectifying a body part. just something to think about.

strawberry beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Not everyone has the same tastes. Just because this person thinks she’s beautiful doesn’t mean it’s an unequivocal truth. It’s not an insult to call someone beautiful.

I like this painting behind Sigrid, upon a wall. Chord on lyrics "perfect pretenders" is not a c# but A (a dominant one) with 7 but she dont play the A sound (but chord is still A: A, c#, e, g#). And the chord of e that she doesnt know what it is, is a e minor with 4 and 7. If U dont play a sound 'a' in it we can say its suspended e with 4 (instead of 5th). 🤗
