Sigue Sigue Sputnik - opening of HMV Oxford Street on 22 October 1986

At the time, this was the biggest music store in the world. It was opened by Bob Geldof with just about every available pop star in attendance. Among the who's-who of 1986, there are three members of Sigue Sigue Sputnik. Chris Kavanagh is there right at the beginning while Martin Degville and Neal X turn up later on. In the Sputnik calendar, this took place in the gap between the Royal Albert Hall and their first shows in America.
