Thank you so much for taking the time to make this step-by-step video. Galloway’s video was much too fast with not enough explanation of what he was doing. After watching your video, the trigger swap took me exactly 15 minutes from start to finish.

Picking up my first Ruger tomorrow, the LCP MAX. Ready to modify internals with Gallway’s turn key kit once I shoot a 100 rounds through it in stock form. I sure the stock trigger is adequate for 7 yards and in but what fun is that since I practice/train at 15, lol. Anyway, thanks for the detailed video!

Nice follow up to the Galloway video, much clearer instruction. I did my installation off the Galloway video about a week ago and found that the safety bar (dingus) doesn’t protrude as far forward as yours or any other video I’ve seen. The gun passes the function checks but I think I’ll take it apart and try again.

I wish I had taken a photo of the Sigurd trigger before installing since it did seem to protrude further out than the stock and I can't tell looking at their website if mine is normal or perhaps the inner trigger spring is causing it to seem that way? Passed function tests fine and I did run about 3 mags through it at the range with no issues. I'll contact Galloway and maybe even send mine back just to be sure. Easy enough install once you've done it so I'd rather be SAFE than SORRY! Appreciate your feedback.

@@ocdmachine I contacted Galloway to inquire if they have changed the shape of the safety trigger. They confirmed that they have made changes based on customer feedback. In the newest design the safety trigger doesn’t protrude as far forward at the tip of the actual trigger & there is no bump where the safety trigger meets the chassis of the gun.

@@paulkuzia9236 I just put my trigger in today. My trigger safety doesn’t stick out very far either but it does what it’s supposed to do so it should be fine.

The trigger dingus will fall out eventually. Installed this last year. Told them about the issue, they sent me a new dingus, but I've never cared enough to go thru all this again to install it. It does improve the massive pre travel quite a bit. Overall though, I wish I had just left the OEM trigger in this particular gun. An Apex, this is not. Liked the video however, this would've been helpful last year. The Galloway video got me thru it, but it's definitely in a hurry. Not my first trigger install by far. But definitely my first of this unique type.

Mr.Mike thanks for this well put together video. I had too do it twice as first time didn’t have spring right and had too go back and 2 ns time got it right!! Also getting spring on little rod in mag well was more difficult in that I only had needle nose players and not hooky gadget. Now all is to do is test it out. Thanks again!!

Definately nice Mike,,and the other guys video was nice too he did as you stated have some quick or what seemed to be sped up and not too much explaining why he spent time with the trigger pin and spring u nailed it because you simply explained that all he was doing was literally lining it all up ,,i did notice he literally tapped it in as if he needed to but you didnt,,you literally jus placed it back in place,,perhaps with a lil force with the needle nose pliars you used,,,,but i got it now,,,you nailed it with this video step by step with full explination not leaving room for misunderstanding,,,very thorough,,, thanks im now on your subscribed list because im soon to add the galloway to mine as well.Super Thanks!!!. By the way how much of a actual diffrence is noticed that you can tell ??? Called galloway short stroke because factory trigger has what feels like a mile and a half travel befor it reaches the release wall basically by just visual it appears its a simple fix by galloway ,,reduced travel by design of the short stroke,,,other words all that makes it a short stroke is by the what i call the wall catch on their triggers and the position of the trigger pin and spring location which has the trigger when set in repositions the trigger and what i call the wall catch or nudge on their triggers is positioned diffrently which again in its design allows their triggers to be positioned furter back towards the wall not far out,,lol sorry but thats how ive figured it,lol is that a pretty good explination? Lol there is another video on youtube where a quy has done a hack on the factory trigger simply by adding a screw through the back trigger spring and filing off the top part of safety latch,,did u see that? ;,very thorough video thanks will use your video when installing mine...

I did look at their offering too, just nervous changing out springs from stock. My only complaint with the pistol was the trigger “bite” after just a few mags shot. Someone posted on the Ruger forum that this trigger took care of that and in fact it did for me. Galloway was good enough to send me another trigger when I mention how much the inner trigger (safety bar) stuck out from the stock. Just have not had a change to change out but speaks well of Galloway to address my concern and send a replacement part under warranty. That’s pretty good customer service.

Wow ! You did a great job showing how to change the trigger. My question is, where did you find the exploded view pdf for the LCP Max? The only diagram I found was from the Ruger website for owner's manuals, but it's low resolution. Would you please post the link to the high-resolution exploded view pdf? Thanks for doing such a great job! The video that the manufacturer made is awful

My lcp ll won't dry fire until you have the magazine mounted in other words if you cock it without the magazine and pull the trigger it won't pop but when you insert the magazine in it then it will pop no bullet chambered

I don’t have a way to test that, seems similar as I didn’t change any springs. I was happy with the way it shot in stock formation, just not the trigger bite.

Removing the "inner and outer pin" from the stock trigger did not go so well. I used a punch and the same red block you have with a very light hammer.....the stock trigger broke off. Oh well I didn't need it anyway right!

Fixing the trigger on this LCP Max's is almost like doing away with a magazine disconnect on a Ruger ec9s both pistols are built almost identical if you can work on one of these roses you can work on the other that's the way these guns are manufactured nothing's changed as fat is the way they are designed

Is there a real reason to take out the original trigger pin before the disassembly? Reason I ask is because the new trigger is fully assembled when it is installed, so I’m just wondering if there is some kind of tension on the original trigger that needs to be released or is it just something they did in the original video, so you did the same thing?
@ocdmachine
@ocdmachine 6 ай бұрын
I’m trying to remember, thinking the safety bar might interfere with disassembly or I just followed their original video steps. Great question though!
@nebaldeby5369

I just installed the Sigurd trigger in my LCP Max. It is necessary to take apart the original trigger- remove the pin- so you can access the trigger pivot pin from the bottom to push it out. Not a big deal, use a 1/16 thin punch to remove the safety thingy from the trigger. Good luck, take your time

@@nebaldeby5369 thank you yes, it was pretty easy once I got into it and I did realise why I had to remove the pin. And now it shoots very well much nicer than the original trigger.
