I'm having trouble putting the slide back... Never had this issue with any other gun. Like it stops before making it all the way back. Update... I fixed it, the hammer was down and I had to pull it up so the slide can go back in.

Too much oil. Oil is also a magnet for dirt. I have learned that a good oil wipe then a thorough wipe with a dry clean cloth keeps weapon clean and working as it should. Helps eliminate any possible jams or extra wear and tear. Just my humble opinion.

People use way too much oil. I know it’s fun to do, but you are better off under oiling than over oiling. I notice that my guns collect way more dirt when they are heavy oiled after a range session. Much more to clean, the oil drips everywhere and attracts everything

I moved to ballistol from break free, we have enough teflon in our water supply here in north georgia, I still have some breakfree to use up. I love my my lcp max, the actually carrying and pocket carry everywhere is worth moving down to .380. I don't Love that it is has to be cocked with no safety, but I have dropped it and it didn't go off, and I use a sticky holster which is Thicker that what it came with and use the ruger one with a p3at I bought for 75$ in a card game, I"m really loving your channel man.

Good vid, good dude. Only thing I'll say is that final little pin did not cooperate nearly as easily for me as it did for you I almost threw in the towel lol.. After abt 15m trying different angles/pressures it finally just went in perfectly. Go figure. Let's just say I enjoy stripping & reassembling the PX9 a lot more than this thing but it is an awesome little piece. Take it to the range & it lets you know real quick.

@@travisp11 Yes indeed it's awesome! However I'm having a gunsmith take a look at it now because I'm afraid I may have messed up while reassembling it, for some reason the top feels a little loose like it has some play in it that I don't remember there being before, the indicator on the side that let's you know a round is in the chamber no longer sticks out, and it is more difficult to load a round, the magazine itself pushes in all the way but requires more of a push to get in, like there's suddenly more resistance. Not sure what I could have done wrong as I followed instructions from multiple guides & went through the manual before disassembling :/ hopefully I'm just overreacting but we'll see

I clean my firearms after every range trip, especially with smaller guns which could be prone to showing wear, tear and breaking. It seems like overkill to clean after every range trip but I like a clean carry piece.

Thanks for a good (and timely) video. My only point of confusion is that it appears that, except for the one tiny drop of oil you used for the rails, it seems you used the same product for cleaning and lubrication. You kept referring to it as "oil". In that past, I used Hoppes solvent/cleaner first, then oil after. Did I miss something?
@travisp11
@travisp11 Жыл бұрын
It is a CLP so it cleans, lubricates and protects. One coat will loosen carbon but also lubricate. Second coat wipes carbon away and lubricates.

Will this help my gun from not releasing the bullet from the chamber? The bullet is sticking and not existing
@travisp11
@travisp11 10 ай бұрын
It possible that your bullet has been re inserted into the chamber so many times that the bullet has pushed back into the brass case and is now bulging causing the case to stick. Clean the gun and try chambering a new round.

Clenzoil does double duty as a cleaner and lubricant. You can get by without solvent if you apply Clenzoil or Safariland CLP, wipe it off then re apply and you are set.

@travisp11

Probably not because it needs that tension from the recoil spring to keep the ammo in contact with the receiver/firing pin. You could press the slide from the rear to apply the same pressure but when the gun fires the side will actuate. The barrel may also drop with not support from the rod and spring below.
