*Updated on August 13th, 2024* Hello everyone, I have an update on Sije from August 7th, 2024. I apologize for not writing this sooner, I fractured my elbow that same night and have been one-handed. Fracturing my elbow actually turned out to be a blessing. I was in the area looking for Sije and was unable to locate her. Until I fell and had to sit down for awhile and about 5 minutes later Sije biked right by me! We began talking about the video almost immediately. She was aware that it had over 1M views at this point and tons of positive comments. She told me that she is starting to feel hope that there might be enough help out there to change her situation. I assured her that if she is ready we can definitely help her get out of this. I told her the first step is treatment and asked her if she is ready to enter one. There is still some slight hesitation there. She mentioned hating the fact that she was wasting her 30's. I told her that it's never too late and that her story has already touched so many people and that her survival can make a huge difference in this world. I then went with her to where she was going to be spending the night, which was a vacant field under some trees (and before anyone asks why I didn't buy her a hotel room, this is where she wanted to stay). Prior to this I also offered to take her to get something to eat but she was not hungry at the moment and had something to eat in her bag. I did get her some pepper spray so she has something to defend herself with which I gave to her. I sat with her for an hour or so and just talked. She showed me her snail terrarium that she keeps with her which was really fascinating. Snails are her favorite animal. Eventually someone she knew from the area showed up who was going to stay there with her. Before leaving I gave her my number again and told her that I hope these will be the last times she will be on the streets and that I will continue to check in on her as time goes on and that I am here for her when she is ready. I also reminded her that she has friends and people who have connected with her story who want to help her as well. I can see that she wants to get out of her lifestyle and make a change. But that she is still conflicted. I will continue to encourage her when I see her and help her with what I can. She agreed to an update video in the future as well. In the meantime I left her with a disposable camera to take pictures with. Maybe we can do a video about her photos too. I will write another update as soon as I have one. Thank you all again for your positivity, encouragement and support. ---------------------------------------------- Hello everyone, I have two updates for those who are interested. The first being an update on CG (Sije), and the second being an update on a GoFundMe to help make a bigger difference. Update 1: First of all I want to thank you all for the overwhelming positivity and support for CG (Sije). I see many of you have connected with her story and want to help in some way. I saw her last night (July 13th, 2024) and spent about an hour with her. We went to Publix (local supermarket) to get her some food and other items she needed. After, we talked for awhile about the positive reception of her video and about her friends who reached out. This put a big smile on her face and she is very grateful to know so many people care. We then discussed her current situation. She was not ready to make a change at that time. I will continue to encourage her towards sobriety the best I can and to continue to help with meals, clothes and other things she may need when I see her. SHE DID RECEIVE THE RADIO which she was very excited about. She also agreed to an update video in the coming weeks. I will keep everyone updated! Update 2: I have launched a GoFundMe for the general mission of my channel. This is something that I have been hesitant on until I realized how many people want to help through the comments on this video. As of now everything that I do to help is funded from my full time day job. I go out on the weekends to meet people struggling and to catch up with others from my channel. During these trips I am usually purchasing multiple meals, clothes, medicines and other humanitarian items. I know many of you want a GoFundMe for CG specifically. The day she commits to treatment I will set that up to help her get on her feet. For now, you can write a message on your donation if you want to buy a meal or something for a specific person. I will allocate that donation to that purpose. All other donations to the overall channel mission will all go back to helping the people I meet. I may even upgrade my microphone if there is enough for that, I've seen some audio complaints. GoFundMe Link: gofund.me/ac62a8b9 If you have any questions, concerns or suggestions please respond to this comment and I will answer. My name is Eric and I am very grateful for all of you 🤍

@@ChillinwithJanel same. I hurt myself very badly for years and years... One day my boss asked me if I didnt love myself because he couldn't understand why I had relapsed and it really has stuck with me. It's not difficult to end up like CG is. Especially if you are an addict. I made a lot of money dancing and escorting so I was never homeless but close one time believe it or not. Earning probably like $100k - $120k.. that's how much was just going to drugs. I don't work in the adult industry anymore and earn about $80k at my job and I have a hell of a lot more money now than I had back then making more if that makes sense. When you are in drugs every last dollar goes to feed your addiction as I'm sure you're aware. It's just all so dark and am grateful to have gotten out. People like CG need to know that it's not something they just happens over night. Start by getting into a methadone clinic, if you don't have an ID/license that's the next step and things will just start to fall in place.

She's worth saving. we all are, if there is a light in that heart that hasn't gone out yet. And people aren't "born that way" like the question he asked - he just doesn't know any better. Our surroundings and those raising us molds us into who we are, and some of those forces are dark,. But we can always change. There's no shame in needing help, and the best help we can get is from turinging our life over to the Lord Jesus. I wish she could know this, and give Jesus a chance to lift her out of this life.

I am homeless in DFW area of Texas for 4 months for economic reason and home foreclosure. and medical events with my wife being disabled. I am on a 15 year waiting list for senior housing in n Texas and 12 years in NJ. I have two Master degrees and trade school training as a commercial driver. I work at night 🌉 n facilities at warehouse and sleep rough on the streets during the day. It will be years before I can get any housing. The way to survive is to avoid drugs and pursue skill training while you are on streets Being homeless will become a new reality for millions and we have to accept it as a way of life. Support one another, leave no trace of human activity, live a minalmist life style Greyhound it to different cities, learn flow arts and performance to fundraise with busking, take computer online programming courses, learn self defense, freegen for food, couch surf, carry 🌯 nd for self protection, support one another in your camp tribe, and again break free of the drugs and addictions. You can do exercise and yoga in your camp and climbing with ropes. The streets are our new way of 🧬 ving. Tent communities are the only way to skill share and protect each other.

It's really not that rare, there have been several studies done about addiction and intelligence and all of them show that alcoholics and junkies have generally higher iq's, maybe its to quiet their minds for a moment. I'm a junkie have been since the age of 14 after a traumatic event. Ofcourse I've met quite a few idiot addicts too, but all my close friends who are users too are really bright, like well above avarage, but have made bad choises like me. But I'm drawn towards intelligent people, I hate it when some people just talk about drugs only, I like having other conversations with my friends and walk away thinking that I learned something new with every conversation.

I firmly believe that bipolar disorder, persistent depression and social anxiety leads to many types of addiction. I've only recently been treated for two of those disorders, I am 58 years old , I abused alcohol for 25 yrs, and am dry for 15 yrs. I was never homeless and am lucky to have one, but discovering late in life that those underlying disorders were there for as far back as I can remember, like 8 yo, has been devastating for me, I isolate myself from the world and suffer unmerciful bouts of depression. I am intelligent, reasonably articulate and I have qualifications to work a €150k per year career, but I can't get out of bed, my biggest need now is to try to cope with the diagnosis and lose the anger at such a late diagnosis. I'm on a lot of prescription medication but the loneliness and isolation is vicious., I pray that this young lady will get through some recovery programme 🙏🙏 Peace and love to all.... ❤️❤

I was also surprised at how well she speaks. One thing she will need to pass into normal - or exceptional - life is dental work. Mushrooms are very medicinal. This is why anybody familiar with psilocybin and any other kind of fungi will tell you, "They are alive." They have a very ancient wisdom. To my experience, all mushrooms have always said, "Pay attention to your life. How you think, how you feel, and what will you do with the information that you always knew, but now are seeing in this point of view." This is why mushrooms are so respected in tribal cultures. This mental health treatment works for me too. Half micro doses do the trick for me. At least a few days at a time with lengthy time in between. Never addictive. Thank you for sharing this point!

You could say the same about their parents. What if they had a better family and a better environment? In reality, you end up roughly where your parents are when it comes to social education and wealth. In Germany, it takes 6 generations to get from the lowest class to a median income. But life is shorter than 6 generations. Many have already lost their chances at birth; the chances and opportunities are actually decided from then on.

Yes, I think there is a reason that this guy came and made a video of her. I think God is calling out for her. She’s definitely an empath and God could use her to heal others in many ways, and to lead them to him. He has a perfect plan for her. It only she knew that I was an addict too, and it wasn’t easy for 10 years I ran from God thinking somehow I could fix myself, but it just pushed me in a deeper depression Been to rehab that helped a little bit but what really helped was God he made the overall change. I just let go and let God and I know that sounds crazy but it’s true I was just obedient to him he told me to throw my stuff out and I did it, the minute I did I had this overwhelming sense of peace. I smiled on the way back from that dumpster and I said this is my day. Thank you, Lord.
@jenniferornelas783
@jenniferornelas783 2 ай бұрын
@@godhelpsandfrees that is the only answer. Yes, some people go to rehab and get clean, which is good but God has a major plan for her life. She is so empathetic and sweet and even if she wasn’t, God has a major plan for her life something beyond her comprehension. Broke my heart to watch this video, a lot of people who suffered childhood trauma are mad at God and I get that. I was mad for years until I realized how understanding he was and how he wanted to help me the enemy wants to kill still and destroy. He is a liar. The day that I threw all that stuff out I mean I cleaned out all my drawers the next morning I got up to turn on the Bible study. I opened up my top drawer where I always kept my weed that I had already cleaned out to grab a notebook to take notes on the sermon and there was a big red bag of weed sitting right on top and there is no way that I missed it. I don’t care what anybody says it was not there before, and nobody put it there, it is unexplainable if you don’t believe in God or the devil. Like me I used to think I was so dirty and ugly on the inside and did so many bad things and all the people in the church were good people until I found out that most of people in the church are hurting on the inside. That’s why they see God not because they think they’re perfect. They’re being judgmental of people. I’ve never had anybody judge me in church I mean I know some people have had that experience, but my experience was some little ladies, picking me up off the ground when I collapsed in there and major withdrawals crying on my knees, begging for help.

Luckily the Va have therapy for my ptsd and it has helped so much! That girl needs trauma therapy, to understand none of her past was her fault, she may have made unfortunate choices but it’s all tied to her past. Everyone has a hard history, but we need more awareness and help to get through the process of learning that what happened at 6 years old was done by or to, a six year old mind, not fully formed and unable to process logically what happened.

Some on the streets are beyond helping but she clearly has all of her mental faculties which will stand her in very good stead if she can get the right help to escape from her vicious cycle of drug dependency. Hope she emerges like the phoenix.

An Argentine from Spain watching your video. The video has already broken the language barrier. Please don't let go of CG. She is an incredible being and she is inspiring many people from a distance. I have also gone through many very hard trials here in the last few years and seeing such wonderful human beings as you gives me strength and encouragement. My wife also liked "Depeche Mode" a lot... I hope that she can enjoy the music that gives her relief with the radio. I also hope that she can overcome her anxiety and with it all the drugs. Tell her that we send her lots of love. I would have loved to be her friend. I suspect that yours too. Good luck in everything!

Life is hard for everyone, with or without drug addiction. You say you want to be free, but the chains that hold you are deceptive and they can be broken. Choose. It's up to you. CG, I work at a rehab in South Florida. My prayer is that you realize what a beautiful person you are, and that you take a step out in faith to go to detox and rehab. I’m so sorry for all that you have been through, but God has a higher purpose for you. You survived an overdose and everything else in life because you are meant to be here. If you chose to go to a rehab, they can detox you and slowly but surely, will help you learn coping skills regarding your social anxiety and other fears. God will make a way for you, if you allow Him into your life. He wants to change you and help you. I know you said you like to hide, but please don’t hide from God. He’s a loving God who loves you and wants to help you. If not you, who? If not now, when? I’ll be praying for you and hopefully someday we’ll get to see another interview with you. I’m praying for you in Jesus name. Amen. God bless. 🙏

@@axt3462 No. Interestingly, especially children with early childhood trauma seem to have very early memories - much earlier than the usual, at ~5 years old. E.g. I met a woman who remembered her dad picking her up from hospital when she was ~1.5 years old - it was a 6 week long hospitalization which apparently traumatized her. Before it she had already started talking, but afterwards she was quiet for a long time. Later in her childhood and adolescence she had little to no interest in friendship etc. and was extremely quiet in general. She also remembered experiencing her entire life until she was ~35 as if everything was a dream from which she finally woke up (aged ~35). (The latter details are just to corroborate that there really seems to have been a traumatic experience that had a fundamental impact on her entire life)

There is so much truth to this statement and most people that haven't lived the life or been really close to where they get an up close and personal view, truly don't realize it's not simply a drug addiction issue, and quitting the drugs is not the immediate fix. Lots of emotional and physical trauma come from simply living on the streets. It's one of the worst predator/prey situations humans deal, and it's not always street on street victimization. A lot of 'well to do' 'rightous' people see the desperation in this population and take full advantage.

Please pass this message on to Jessie for me Eric... Jessie, you already know this, but you are a beautiful person. Even in your difficulties, you show such love for others. Because you have a beautiful soul, even the drugs can not dim your light. You said yourself that you are not like some of the other people on the street, and you are right. You know what is inside you. You know you are special, you know who you are. Please think about how you can move your life forward, in a manner that does not cause you anxiety. Imagine yourself in a place where you can live and work in nature, possibly, where you can work with animals, in a situation where you don't have to interract with too many people, in a situation where you feel that you can breathe, where you can feel nature all around you, where you can feel free. If you can believe in this and feel that it is possible, then maybe, just maybe, that strength that you need, will come to you. That strength that can say " I can do this". You must have seen that so many people are rooting for you. People are raising money for you on go fund me, and the wonderful man who interviewed you, Eric, has your back. There are people out there who want to help you. There are places you can go that will not make you anxious. There are jobs that you can do, to take care of other people or animals that will fill your heart with love and meaning, and you have clearly demonstrated that you care deeply about the needs of others. Dont give up Jessie, just because of the anxiety. Work out what you CAN do - that won't make you feel anxious and then see if that makes a difference to how you are feeling about going into treatment. Everyone needs to have a purpose in life. Everyone needs to feel as if they are relevant to something or somebody. You, Jessie, have shown me, that your beautiful soul is aching to spread more love in the world. You have already saved 9 lives. Even in the depths of your difficulties, you have shown what a beautiful person you are. Nothing can hide that Jessie, it is written all over you. It is up to you now, to believe in who you are, to love yourself, and to believe in everyone out here who is rooting for you, and waiting for your light to shine even brighter than it already is. May all the love in the world, come to you, and may all of your love, shine out from you to help those around you. With much love to a girl who moved my heart and touched my soul. Julie

As a Community Policing Officer in Miami Beach, FL I would interact with young, homeless addicts often. I always tried to keep interactions positive and find a long-term solution for them and the community I served. I found the more intelligent the homeless addict was, the more they rationalized self-destructive behaviors. I also found the homeless addict stage to be terminal in one way or another. I created partnerships with street outreach groups and took them to where homeless addicts lived but even they could do nothing for them. I repeatedly saw their destiny was either long-term imprisonment or death. People who really want to help should focus on prevention before it's too late.
