Sir 30.0.0.0 network is in external neighbor why it is still showing the AD as 200 instead of 20?
@mayurdate63085 жыл бұрын
It is received via router two which is its iBGP neighbor.

Hi Sir, As u mentioned we can use nexthop self to ensure reachability as in huge network all wan interface cant be advertised, but without advertising wan interface in bgp how routing takes place?
@catthypace2 жыл бұрын
Imagine your Organisation network is AS500 & your Partner network is AS600. Due to Security reasons or IP Overlapping of the WAN interfaces (the same IP used in your IGP somewhere) connecting AS500 & AS600 Directly, NEXT-HOP-SELF could be used. The Border Router takes the responsibility and tells your IGP routers, "Hey if you want to reach AS600 come to me since I know where AS600 nexthop resides and you IGP routers do not know because its a secret!."
