@CIA it's just that there is more value in God's love. While people may value status and power, the Guru honours those who love God instead. Ant is used to say that even those who might be regarded insignificant and powerless are valuable to the Guru if they have the love of the divine in their hearts.

it's a great statement. just like the christian alternative: It's easier to move a camel throuth the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to cross the gates of heaven. power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutetly. and so does money....

Guess every Sikh is on the chart because each one of them is son/daughter of Guru Gobind Singh Ji. (I have sacrificed my four sons. So what if my four sons are dead, when thousands are alive) - Dhan Guru Gobind Singh ❤️

I also remember Guru Gobind Singh Ji on Farher’s Day as he was the greatest father ever who gave his four of his own sons for the greater good of mankind and called every other Sikh as his sons too. He gave his four sons and never complained, he did this for good of mankind regardless of your religion, caste, etc. He did all that and had to sleep in rough jungles, so unselfish and visionary.

2:27 Contrary to popular belief Muslims in India and South Asia in general do have a limited caste system in the form of separation between Ashraf (who claim to be descendants of muslims who came to India from abroad or converts from dominant castes such as Rajputs), Ajlafs (who are considered to be local converts from "lower-castes") and Arzals (who are converts from the "untouchable"/dalit castes). The Arzals continue to be engaged mostly in their traditional caste jobs and continue to face heavy discrimination (to the extent that many of them like the Chuhras are not allowed to go past the steps of a Mosque) just like their Hindu dalit counterparts. While Ashrafs have a clerical monopoly and are comparable to the Brahmins in hinduism. This sort of lingering effect of caste system exists among South Asian Christians too but in a different manner. Most social reform, social justice and anti-caste movements in India before and after independence mostly ignored non-hindu dalits because of which affirmative action and reservation in India only applies to Hindu, Buddhist, and Sikh Dalits and OBCs, though there have been more recent calls to include even Muslim and Christian converts in the reservation system.

@@realharrysingh brother, as per my elders, our ancestor - Baba Harjas Rai (a Minhas Rajput) - was a Misaldar of a Rajput Misl in Kashmir. It is entirely possible that a diff terminology was used for a military commander of Kashmiri Rajput armies, but "misl" and "misaldar" are words often used by my elders in the context of Baba Harjas and his army. It is said he helped Maharaja Ranjeet Singh in an expedition and was rewarded by being granted the land where Daroli Kalan today is. If I remember correctly, Daroli Kalan village had 2 main parts - Dhirowal and Jagirpur. There used to be a sign board in the village directing ppl towards those 2 diff parts of Daroli. One of those parts (dont remember which one but can confirm frm dad) was where Baba Harjas's family (maybe extended family) settled. My great grandfather was the Assistant Accountant General of Kashmir during British times (early 1900s I think). Our ancestral house is still in Daroli Kalan along with a few other houses of that time which were referred to as "Kashmiriyan de Ghar" back in the day. The present structure was built around 1930. My father's cousin who hails from Chukhiara is also a descendant of a military commander, some say Baghel Singh, but that is disputed as Baba Baghel Singh ji is often referred to as a Jatt in historical docs I think, but as per what we have been told, Baghel Singh ji moved to (resided) an area inhabited by Jatts and is referred to as such in historical texts. Whatever the truth be, my dad's cousin's family had a small Quila in Chukhiara (which I believe was present till the 1980s) and ppl referred to their family as Quille wale. Forgot to add: My grandfather - Capt Umrao Singh was a world war II veteran who saw action in Burma and was in charge of a Japanese POW camp. All in all, pretty interesting to hear all this from elders 🙂

It's most likely because: 1. He's not a particularly notable politician outside of a Canadian context, there's never been a prime minister from his party, and considering they only hold ~7% of the seats in the house of commons currently, it doesn't look like there will be one any time soon 2. It would date the video, because he will eventually resign or get voted out

I love all these religious episodes. I always wanted to learn about all these religions but always didn't have a good starting point. Scripture would be the most logical point, but I think most people in the most religions read scripture eventually, they are exposed to it's content first through other ways. Giving the history and family explains a lot of their values, and reasons for rituals and practices, that gives a good starting point for further digging! Keep these up! I love them!
