I am finally visiting the famous Golden Temple with some friends including the legend ‪@rahulpenciya‬! We take you guys with to meet some friends I met online who show us an incredible time exploring the Golden Temple as well as an insight on how kind, welcoming and generous the Sikh people are. This was one of my highlighted experiences in India during my trip.

Hello, sorry for the confusion, in the video I was told around 50,000/people per day and 100,000/per day on holidays. But many comments have mentioned it is 100,000 people per day and so I did some research and a ton of articles mention the Golden Temple feeds 100,000 people per day: www.insider.com/worlds-largest-community-kitchen-golden-temple-india-feeds-100000-daily-2021-5

To everyone here first thing, it is not golden temple but harminder sahib and it is the Akal takht of sikhs. Spiritual and military seat of Sikhs where our living guru Guru granth sahib reside. Langar is part of sikhism but naam is the essence of sikhism.

Golden Temple was completed in 1601. It's quite old.. It's the most visited place of Sikhs and even everyone of any religion is allowed to go have langar.. Langar is made in the mega kitchen of the temple, it's one of the biggest kitchen in the world, here everything is served from people's donation. You donate they give you receipt. Serving food n water is the biggest religion in the world. That's what we learn in India. Even u feed a cow, goat, dog anyday that good karma will return to you some day.. 😊 You came Assam, you forgot to go to Manas National Park. I live nearly 20KM away. Wish we could meet.. Ghee: Clarified Butter Desi: Local/Local made

@@worldnomac No problem bro.. 🤜 Visit Rajasthan if you have not, land of forts and THAT DESSERT and so much to explore like the Pink City (Jaipur), Blue City (Jodhpur), Udaipur, Mount Abu. Food to try: Kachori (Savory, staffed with lentils and masalas), Mawa Kachori (Sweet, staffed with milk thickened by heating), Mirchi Vada (Spicy alert, staffed capsicum with potato mesh inside dipped in corn flour batter and deep fried), dal batti churma (dal: lentil soup, batti: ball made with whole wheat and cooked in coal, churma: sweet thing made with wheat, ghee and sugar, we eat it by mixing all together), Ker Sangri is a traditional Rajasthani dish made with dried ker berry and sangri beans. Khadi (Butter Milk cooked with masala and very little corn flour, like soup a bit tangy taste) In non veg: Lal Maas (Mutton meat made with Mathania chillies. These is kind of sweet chilly it's only found in a place in Rajasthan called Mathani, it release the red color in the curry) That's my parental grandparents place, it's beautiful. Must visit. Than you can head to South India. From Punjab go to delhi, visit Taj Mahal and all places. You need 3 days max. Than head Rajasthan (Take 5-7days) Travel in night train. If you want to do in less time. Edit and get sleep in train.. And trains are cheap, take 3 AC class as ur foreigner, you might need AC) It might make you tired but take rest on final day.. Drink lot of water in dessert ok.. In South visit the Andaman n Nicobar Island, Kerela, Karnataka: Hill stations, Bangalore city (IT Hub), Tamil Nadu etc. Goa is just beach just, Don't waste money there head to Islands. Last if you have time visit Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh (Mountain area of India/Foothills of Himalayan) Take jackets it very cold, these places have ice and snow. Now, it's raining there so visit Rajasthan in West

Thanks very much for showing Golden Temple. I visited Chicago in July this year. 😊 Regarding sitting on floor to eat langar, there is a significance to that i.e., equality. Many people in world can't afford tables and chairs. So, even Kings, Presidents, PMs, etc when they come, all have to sit along with common people in line and eat along with them, which means all people in world are equal, irrespective of their designation, color, religion, caste, etc.

short summary of what we Sikhs believe *main believe of Sikhism* in sikhi or as the western called it Sikhism 😊 in Sikhism we believe in one God as.. guru nanak ji first fonder of sikhi and the prophet of Sikhism said there is no Muslims or Hindu or Christians there is only one God.. *i later explain why* ...and a sikh means a learner and and guru the teacher.. know the last guru is guru granth sahib(11 guru) or in English holy book..... as the 10 guru have written down Everything for Sikhs to follow and said now the Sikhs will learn from guru granth sahib and gurudwara are our temples... it is only a gurudwara because it has copy of the guru granth sahib in it..... ( gurudwara means a doorway to guru) ABOUT GOD (*here is the explanation*) we believe that there is one God but people give God different names and ...people worship God in from of statues like Hindu worship statue they have give God a face a gender and the in Islam they have given God a name(even though Allah just means god in Arabic language but they say saying things like allah is the only god) and saying God lives in heaven but we believe God is everywhere it is creater of reality and is reality itself *Are all Gods same?* yes it is the same God but people interpretation of God is different and through guru teaching we will connect with God (side note guru is same as prophet) there are two kinds of sikhs one are sikh the one that cut hair and don't follow the guru teaching but still believe in god....and the gurusikhs (every Sikh end goal is to become a gurusikh) the one who follow the guru teaching.. a.k.a the khalsa the people who carry the little knife and wear the 5ks 1 kirpan (a small curved sword of any size, shape or metal to protect themselves and anyone in need) 2 kesh (unshorn hair and beard) 3 kangha (a comb usually wooden to symbol clearness) 4 kara (a bracelet, usually made of iron or steel to symbol the infinite of God) 5 kachera (an undergarment) Khalsa means pure and only the khalsa are allowed to carry the little knife WHAT HELL AND HEAVEN IN SIKHISM well to simplify we don't believe in hell ...as the world we live in is hell we just reincarnation over and over again until we get ego free and until bad karma get cleaned and then go to heaven ....like if you have like lots of bad krama you just reincarnation into animals over and over as animals have souls like we do everything is equally in God eyes the first guru nanak ji said that there are 84 lakh animals form the worst of the worst will reincarnation into before they are reincarnation into a human being again if you don't have a lot of bad karma but you didn't connect with God then you reincarnation into human beings again and this time you will reincarnation into a religious family *you have any questions ask me* side note the name waheguru is what sir guru nanak jev ji called god but guru nanak ji did say that people give him different names as when God is described in guru granth sahib it is written in number like it is written Ek Onkar meaning one God or the number 1 but people need a name to chant and pray to that why guru nanak ji give a name to God the name waheguru meaning wonders Lord... that why name waheguru was given.... thought I should explain it clearly

There are 4 entrances to the Sri Harmandir Sahib which is to signify that anyone and everyone is welcome and entitled to rest, listen to the hymns, and have a free meal and drink. The 4 entrances represent everyone is welcome regardless of religion, caste, colour, gender, faith, belief, etc. Shame on the Indian government thought, they've been trying to make the Gurudwara pay tax, even though they don't help with any of the funding and all the money comes from Sikh communities all over the world and donations from the pilgrims. The government is trying to class the Golden Temple as a business rather than a place of worship for their own greed. But as Sikhs, we simply will never let that happen. When Sikhs unite, Sikhs always win. Just like the farmers protest. Couldn't watch the Jallian Walla Bhaag but, just too heartbreaking, but I have been there twice in person. We have to honour and respect our hero, the one who avenged, Shaeed-e-Azaam Sardar Udham Singh.

I love your videos ....great job, especially one about the Golden Temple. Quick question: I'm a street musician that plays and sings classical piano and guitar All around europe and the u s a. do you think I could set up With a small portable piano, amp and guitar in that pedestrian zone In the area of the golden temple put destiny on? Did you see any musicians there? Is it possible that all music is prohibited in that area? I watch men of your videos and I don't see too many Street musicians. What's your observation in comments please. Thank you in advance for your help

I don’t think he came there to realy do darshan of Guru Sahib Most of the Non-Sikhs and foreigners come to darbar Sahib to just click pictures They don’t really care about History or spiritualism.

Hi just to let you know 1. Its not golden temple, it is Sri Darbar Sahib Amritsar. There are other places in world where golden plates have been installed on top of building. Gold was donated by a King in 1830AD, but Darbar Sahib was build in 1604AD. Means that 226 years it was called Sri Darbar Sahib Amritsar. When someone calls its a golden temple, it looses the concept of Darbar Sahib, writen in Holy Scripture Sri Guru Granth Sahib. 2. Its not Tourist attraction. It is Spiritual centre for the World.

Hey Mac, I have a question unrelated to this video. I'm travelling to Lebanon this month and was wondering about the currency situation. Do you know if it's possible to pay in Euros or Dollars there. If not, do you recommend taking cash with in order to exchange on the black market? Also do you have any recommendations for a hostel in Beirout?
@thewanderer4638
@thewanderer4638 10 ай бұрын
There's no Black Market there as per my knowledge or maybe as its an Arabic Country I guess, just exchange currency in your country airport as ATMs will charge you lot of transaction fees and if you have Credit Card (Tap or Swipe), which also have Transaction fees. But carrying cash is good option as you don't need to bear transaction fees. And, I recommend Hostel or Airbnb

Hey 👋 Yes, it’s possible to pay in Dollars in most places but do make sure the bills are not ripped or got any marks on them, they need to be clean for them to accept it. Further, you can exchange Euros or Dollars at Western Union OMT branches! You can find it in almost every city in Lebanon!!🙏🏻

it is strange that Rahul visited Golden temple few months back still doesn't know you cannot enter it without covering your legs. not only Golden temple most places of worship in India requires that. some of younger generation people of India like sagnik, Rahul have no clue about Indian culture.
