Awesome video 👍 as I watched all the way through I realized I have no idea what you're doing or talking about! I'm an electrician in the UK and although I've installed CCTV before you lost me on a number of things there. Great video I definitely want a Milwaukee heatgun.

Thanks for watching, I agree this video was a bit all over the place. A lot of the video I shot, didn't come out right as my helmet camera mount was looking too far down and missed what my hands were doing. I appreciate the feedback and will try to be more organized in future videos. :)

@@AccentAlarms Don't change anything it was good to watch. I just didn't understand some of the terminology when you were referring to various parts and accessories.

@@JBE lol - it was a little disorganized. lol Some video didn't come out and some audio didn't come out. I guess that's why I'm a "security guy" and not in the film or marketing industry! lol

Interesting video keep them coming. It does seem like overkill for the application but I guess the airport has money to burn. We use some 60Ghz links between buildings and pops off our fiber ring at the Wireless ISP I work for. The 24Ghz gear is not bad for backhaul too. When we work with some camera guys they use a lot of 5Ghz to jump around buildings. For your application, if you still wanted the high speeds you could get away with a Mikrotik Wireless Wire or a new Ubiquiti Building Bridge set as they call them and spend 1/8th the cost. But you seem like an old school guy and you can tell by the overbuilt cabinet that looks cool out with the other electrical equipment.

We've found the Siklu product to be a very match for the application. We have used several other products that were supposedly designed for this application over the years and this is easily the best match do date. Not quite sure why you feel a 1G backhaul link is overkill for our application, especially since we purposely don't disclose what we are back-hauling. 1/8 the cost? EH-500 has a MSRP if $1200, seems very reasonable for a quality product. I've held both products in my hands and I'll stick with the $1200 product over anything else in the price point. Overbuilt enclosure? Again, not sure why you feel this way but the airport does not have money to burn to overbuild things but they do appreciate that things are done correctly. The first contractor (if you watch that video) uses about 4-5 different size bolts and in general what appears to be their left over parts bucket to build the enclosure they used. In that video we put in a fiberglass enclosure that lasted about 6-7 years before it was so weathered that you would get fiberglass slivers all over your hands. No thanks!
