For everyone freaking out about the baby being taken away from it's mother, they had no choice. Mom was rescued from a bad situation, and wasn't producing milk so people had to step in or the baby would've died. They are trying to safely reintroduce the baby to mom because eventually they will be back together.

Wow, that's a lot more activity than when I visited him two weeks ago! :p The story of 'mama bear' is a sad one. She lived in a concrete silo for 22 years and still exhibits obvious signs of repetitive behaviour. She was scared of the grass when she arrived at the park, and preferred to move around by sliding on her tummy. She seems very fond of Siku though, and she'll probably be the first of the grown-up polar bearsa he'll hang out with.

Especially when you know that these guys are the bears that absolutely look upon humans as prey. They don't accidentally get a stray bite of human flesh and turn rogue. They look upon us as meat. We can become a satisfactory meal in an instant. Unsettling. You can't go out in the arctic and jingle some bells to scare them off. And we are making it harder and harder for them to find "suitable" food in their natural home. Because it is f....ing melting away. One doc on here said they are true carnivores and ONLY eat meat. Sadly that's not true anymore. They get so hungry they will eat anything to survive. Just like us. Some of the Russians or others living in the cold feed them. Biscuits right out the kitchen windows. They come right up begging. It was cute to watch. Until you really start thinking about it. And the weirdness of grizzlys and polars meeting and mating in the wild. Sorry for babbling. It was very cute. But so sad too. He doesn't know himself yet. He thinks he's human.💔🐾🤘

Get that baby some toys! Nice, large area with a pool no less...great!!! But it's really still a entertainment "desert" there; the cub needs things to exercise with, chew-on, play with, learn about, and perhaps from time to time just snuggle-up with and take a nap, like all babies need.

Well youtube. Over 8yrs later....can you please find updates to put in our feeds too??? PLEASE. This was adorable and terribly heartbreaking at same time. Nasty humans kept that poor Mama cooped up in concrete so she was afraid of her natural environment. I wonder if she ever had any snow or ice to play on? And now her baby is afraid of her.💔🐾 I hope things went well when they were finally able to be together. You could see how upset Mom was. There was another polar..Arturo I think or something close. That poor innocent was kept in concrete in a hot climate. He was basically dying. And I think he DID die before they could save him from that hell. It's infinitely sad that we have to take animals from their natural homes to save the species...when that's what captivity is attempting. But there is NO point if they are going to be mistreated and made to suffer where they can't thrive just for our entertainment. There are alot of zoos and circuses and roadside attractions..horrific parodies of...that just torture the creature and have no idea or CARE for their wellbeing. That would be an amazing important job, what she is doing. It's lovely the little bear feels loved and protected. But for an animal lover it still must be very hard to bring the little guy to his true mum and have him be scared of her. And clinging to you. And I'm betting this girl worked very hard to get him acclimated back to mum asap. He will never forget his human mom. But to see him grow up into a big strong healthy predator as he is meant to be has to feel very wonderful. I hope we can get some updates to watch. There are way too many horrific things going on in this world. Something as simple and yet magnificent as a loving relationship between mum and baby is priceless. Thanks for the vid even if we are years behind.🙏💞
