Yes, thanks Brian. Folk don't usually watch for more than 3 mins. so I keep it small deliberately. The rest comes, eventually :)

There is well over a million dollars of equipment in that field. What a nice set-up. Great job Alan. He has two new machines this year doesn't he. I could tell by the header wear (lack of) on that machine that it was brand new.
@balmesh10 жыл бұрын
Yes, there are two new and one older. The big new one was going like the clappers!
@Snowtruckdriver10 жыл бұрын
The complexity of the machinery today boggles the mind when I think that back in the 70's we did custom chopping with a 3 row JD self propelled and two JD 2 row pull types. We cut 200,000 tons per season of corn (maize) silage and we were the local "big guns" Now they are testing 20 row corn heads for these things. its amazing.

Yes, we made grass silage by 40" forage harvester, towed by MF 35 in 2nd low.

Bloody Hell. Glad to know that people are starting early. Is it only the one field. Im guessing it probably is not if the are 2 foragers and 9 tractors. Lol keep the videos coming in. I can tell that there will be a lot of good videos like this.
@balmesh10 жыл бұрын
Thanks Josh. There were around 9 fields some of them steep (keep watching!).

Hi Alan. I saw his new green trailers today heading down the west on the A40. Also, saw a new pottinger 4 rotor and aerator on what looked like a french low loader wagon heading same way this evening...maybe you may catch up with that too.
@balmesh10 жыл бұрын
Hi Hywel. No I saw no new Pottinger but one of Richard's rakes is a Pottinger.

When there is along haul why not using triaxle trailers?
@balmesh10 жыл бұрын
Because they are too big for the lanes and gates.
