I am a firm believer in drilling footwork until it is second-nature, and the crawl-walk-run approach really ingrains the movement into your body. Thanks for sharing, guru! 🙏

Thank you for the comment sir! Train the footwork till you can do it in your sleep and then keep in training it. 🙏🏻

I been doing research on silat styles I just found out this style is counter-eccentric. I thought all styles were the same and have harimau stuff
@EdgedTacticalSystems6 ай бұрын
Not all Silat styles are the same. Each village or region has their own silat past down from generation to generation Some Silat is just harimau, and others have harimau incorporated into their system. In my system we have upright tiger and ground tiger.

@@EdgedTacticalSystems Oooh ok that's cool. I was really confused at first since I asked other Gurus. They would tell me vaguely "they are tons different" I would ask how many? They just answer me "tons of styles" I'm like hmm ok. Yesterday, I discovered that there are at least 12 to 13 primary styles of silat, such as Serak, Kun Tao, and Javanese, among others. like I've been collecting various silat style videos in my playlist for at least 8 years.
@EdgedTacticalSystems6 ай бұрын
@@hotpopcorncake The other Gurus are correct there are tons of styles that have harimau. I can only go into depth about my system and how we train harimau. When you look at Silat watch how the gurus moves their bodies. Some are very stiff and others very fluid. In my opinion if they are not fluid move on.Thats great you have such a strong interest in Silat. You come with great questions.

@@hotpopcorncake Silat is still widely unknown (but gaining steam) so a lot of people mistake one Silat for all Silat's. Silat just means "combative art of self defense and survival". Silat is a blanket term (similar to Karate). The styles Pencak, Pentjak, Serak, etc. Would be like me saying Kyokushin Karate, instead of just Karate. That's the easiest way I can explain it.
@hotpopcorncake4 ай бұрын
@@jamescantrell5639 Oh ok. Before I though Silat just weirdly branch out in weird system, like I was in this Silat group Last year. Like they do in FMA. For example I seen a style called Pentjank monkey system or Mantis style, Also they have tons of different badges called PTA or PTAK. I was somewhat confused about what was happening. Then I saw a video of another Silat originating from an island with a pyramid that has ancient Silat traditions.
