I listened to this when my Mom was fighting cancer. Now she is gone and I’m still playing this. Thank You Jesus for always being faithful. Even though we can not feel you sometimes. We ask ourselves this song but you always come through especially when we fail….Always!!!!!!❤️🙏

Loved this acoustic version, vocal blending was great in the backdrop of crickets sounds. What's more amazing is that God welcomes our questions and is not baffled by them. He is bigger than our doubts can handle. He never leaves us.

This song got me through my divorce. He threw me away like so much trash. Broken (literally, in a wheelchair) and alone. I love this song so much. When I sang it with the studio version, this is the EXACT harmony I used. Thank you!!

Amazing, thank you for sharing this very intimate and beautiful song. I love your commend, "When we’re exposed to the liveliness of holding everything up to the light of good questions." Hold it up to the Light and that which is not of God will disappear and be no more.

Just backwards. We should hold our questions up to the light of good answers. Answers God has revealed in His word.

@@donblosser8720 Oh yes! It’s not Him who leaves us, but us who leave Him… Especially when it involves sin in our lives. We feel too ashamed to face Him; but this is the time we need Him the most, as He reminds us that Jesus paid the price for all of our sin. He says He will never leave us nor forsake us; words that I need to take heed of for myself right now, as I go through another full on bout of hopeless depression. But I am not hopeless, as Jesus is the Only hope there is 🙏

Here's a question- do we love and embrace our questions more than we love the answers that God supplies? Starting a session with "I've got a question" makes sense but as the final song to send people out into the dark with? When are cool "sacred questions" really just a facade for cold unholy unbelief? God is not afraid of our genuine questions but has He not revealed enough of his love and power for us to rejoice in? What more does He have to do? Shall we insist He be born and live and suffer and be crucified in every generation? He didn't die for nothing. He didn't die for us to wallow in self pity and unbelief. Where's the hope? Where's the joy? Where's the faith? Yes, take your questions to God but we are not called to dump our questions on other people but rather to share our answers.

I’m in agreeance with you on that… We are called to live by faith, and not by feelings. Feelings change, but the Truth of Gods Word stands forever… I sit here with a sense of hopelessness as I go through another bout of deep depression, and the devil takes advantage of that. But none of that changes the Truth… Jesus has taken this depression upon Himself, and the anxiety that goes with it, so He can relate to me. Regardless of how I ‘feel’, He is still with me and is walking with me through this time. Has He not said that the work He began in us He will finish? He doesn’t just give up on us because we cannot ‘perform’ in the way we’re meant to in this world. I’m not saved by works, and I know that, and this is where His Grace abounds to me. I can do nothing much at this moment, as my mind is crippled, but I know the Lord will sustain me whilst I am unwell… I don’t know what I would do without Him, as He is the reason I am still on the planet… He has a plan and purpose for all of us His children, and I will continue to walk in the knowledge of that. God bless 🙏

What now? That's my question. He keeps silent. years asking him, years trying to make sense of things. nothing, just failure after failure and i feel weaker than never.. thinking i want to stop it all.
@MatthewZelek-iv8tb4 ай бұрын
“Years asking Him, years trying to make sense of things” I asked and sought God the wrong way for years, I was angry with him deep down because I thought he wasn’t protecting me, guiding me or speaking to me. When you aren’t truly ready to seek God, find Him, and submit to Him you will stay under the authority of the enemy and be blind and in chains. As soon as I truly sought God humbly with every intention to submit and accepted Christ as my savior he broke the chains the enemy had me in and gave me sight. I saw that He was there the whole time, keeping me safe, guiding me, caring for me, loving me. It was my unwillingness to accept the world for what it is, fallen, not as I would have it that was holding me back. I was holding the horrors that I had experienced in this life against God, those were all the fault of mankind. The biggest hurdle was comprehending why God allows these things to happen. Once I had a solid relationship with God I could ask and he would answer, His answers are always sufficient. I hope you haven’t given up. Not being willing to give up sin is most often what causes us not to be able to hear God, he is like a gentleman, he doesn’t nag, he won’t yell, he will tell us to stop doing something, drugs, sex outside of marriage, harboring hate in our hearts, and when we ignore Him and are set on continuing he will stop asking until we are ready. When the silence becomes deafening and that hole in our hearts that God is supposed to fill becomes painful we search for him. We have to be ready to put down the sin and he will speak to us, begin to heal us, and build our trust and faith. Then He will start asking us to put down the sins we refused to before, in the order that is best, at the timing we can bear. Take a look at your life and see if there is something you love more than God, then ask yourself “If God is real, perfect, kind, loving, healing, and he cares for me so much he would suffer and die to save me, would I trade this thing I cherish for a relationship with God?”. The answer is always yes if you know the character of God. That is why reading the Bible is important, it teaches us who God is. The Bible must be read assuming God is good, if you read it assuming He might be bad you won’t see why He does the things he does and will allow the enemy to distort the truth of his Word. One thing that really helped me is my grandmother telling me frequently “Remember, God is love”. I doubted that for a long time but when I started to learn His character I realized He really is love, and it is worth getting to know the living God who is love. I hope you don’t quit seeking him. I hope this advice helps. Remember that God loves us all no matter what we have done or been through, he didn’t quit on you, you just can’t see him right now. When you want to see him more than anything He will come to you and ask you if you are ready to follow Him, accept His offer, it’s the best one we will ever get.
