All My Tears | Jars of Clay

Summertime heat in Texas has a way of dictating lifestyle. It suggested to us, for example, that a Box Canyon Session with Jars of Clay in June might best take place under the relative coolness of night.
Of course, filming at night in a remote canyon introduces a whole new set of constraints, including darkness, bugs, slippery rocks, and a host of unseen hazards waiting to strike. Compounding the risk was our decision to invite all the retreat guests to tag along.
Despite all that (plus a last-minute line of severe thunderstorms that nearly derailed the entire endeavor), we all made it. Guests took up seats on rocks. Others stood in the shadows of the overhanging canyon walls. Dan, Matt, Charlie, and Stephen found some sure footing and started in with “All My Tears.”
It was then that the power of The Box Canyon quietly asserted itself. With cell service long left behind, with nothing to see outside the glow of the string lights, the space focused our collective attention to the moment unfolding before us. Here were four friends who have been making music together for over 20 years, singing for all of us, in this most unlikely of locations.

This is an awesome song. Before I became a Christian, it was laying heavy on my mind that I wouldn’t be buried with my infant son. It doesn’t matter! This body is just an earthly tent and I’m going to see my little Michael! I can’t wait to see the face of my Lord and Saviour. Nervous but excited! So much to look forward to! Just had an amazing friend pass from a 13 yr battle with cancer. I've always loved this song... and this version gives me such chills. I miss her so much but she's free now... no more pain, only light.🕯

My mother died two weeks ago today. My country pastor sent me this song on utube. I pray I will get a Christian burial like my mother. My son asked to put the first handfull of dirt on her. My brother played old time gospel hymns in the hospital room when she passed on. The whole experience has been sacred. Our bodies are sacred. God have mercy on us in our United States of America.

This is so beautiful and comforting!! I just discovered this song because I watched a program where this man, Chris Smith, was murdered. His family played this song at his memorial service. They're confident they will see him again in Heaven, and this is the sure and certain hope that only Jesus Christ can give.

I love this song...and it don't matter. God knows and when Jesus comes to get his own. Raises the dead...many will have been turned to dust over time, but that will not matter. For He will leave not one of His own behind! I'm ready, so ready to go Home. I have always felt a stranger in this land...it is not where my citizenship is. Jesus has gone to prepare a place for us all and one glorious day all our tears will be wiped away! Amen!

Wonderful to have a male lead. The humility is so soulful and wonderful to hear. God bless the person who wrote this song.
