Only thing that they achieved was remove adc funnel with the usual enchanting supp and karth+nunu funnel. Taric Yi has always stayed strong and doesnt seem to drop in strenght anytime soon.

It's very hard to destroy the taric+yi combo without either: affecting jungle and thus hurting other jungles or gutting the champions and leaving them in a bad state if they don't funnel. I think Riot should add new items to counter funneling, but also would hurt other champions. For example, a heaven's halberd from dota 2 equivalent: It gives decent stats and it allows to disarm a enemy champion for X seconds, or like diffusal blade (Not the mana burn) that permits to purge other champions buffs.

So taric R has to cast for a bit before giving invuln, yi q is almost perfect duration so that if taric cast R and yi q's right when yi comes back on to map the ult has procced and he takes no damage, also the taric stun is almost a guaranteed hit right out of alpha strike if you time it right.

funnel strat is similar to tower rushes in RTS i think. You have to adapt as a team to be able to counter it. It should be easily accomplished in the elos where this is prevalent. There are many things you can do to counter it, but it's mainly all about stopping it before it gets out of control. You can't allow them to funnel, that's the point. If you just allow it to happen as a team, you've already lost.

The only reason this works is due to the idiotic way Alpha strike works with Turret aggro. Yi goes in, takes one turret shot, alphas the enemy, loses aggro which then goes on Taric or any other champ in turret range. Yi gets his high lander reset on and just keeps running at other people or just meditates his health back. i understand that hes supposed to be untargetable but at least after Alpha ends he should still be targeted by turret.
